5.0 classic
Gallows (UK) Grey Britain

4.5 superb
Amorphis Under the Red Cloud
Amorphis Queen of Time
Baroness Red Album
Belzebubs Pantheon of the Nightside Gods
A superb album full of surprises. At times melancholic, at times gloomy and oppressive. It could be easy to dismiss this piece because of its webcomic roots, but this is truly a well crafted album. One of my favorite (if not the favorite) melodic album from 2019 yet.

4.0 excellent
Baroness Blue Record
Black Tusk TCBT
Gloryhammer Legends From Beyond the Galactic Terror.
One would think it gets boring after 3 albums.
One is wrong.
Bring on the cheese!
Lucis Absentia Gehenna Gate
This album packs a lot. Catchy riffs, intense solos and sprinkles of breakdown.rThe songs are well built and kept surprising me for the whole thing (which is 72 minutes long). Kudos to these guys.
Pig Destroyer Head Cage
Red Handed Denial Redeemer
Between chugs that alarm the groove-o-meter and tasty influences from likes of late Protest The Hero, this album is one of the best surprise of early 2019. Definitely a step up from their first effort. A few tracks are not on par with the rest of the material but the overall result is an excellent blend of melodic leaks, heavy riffs and impressive vocals.

3.0 good
Behemoth I Loved You at Your Darkest
Some really nice parts on this album and clearly pushing the sound they pushed with The Satanist
but too many fillers and gimmicks to be interesting from start to finish.
Metal Allegiance Volume II - Power Drunk Majesty
A good album overall but with underwhelming performances here and there.
Stoned Jesus Pilgrims
More experimental and interesting tracks but none stands out as a real banger.

2.5 average
Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes End of Suffering

1.5 very poor
Shining (NOR) Animal
Is it indus-glam crossover or something?rDamn this is uninspired and dull.
Bye bye sexy saxo, welcome FM Rock synth.
