5.0 classic |
Alice in Chains Dirt |
At the Drive-In Relationship of Command |
A chaotic, hyperactive masterpiece filled with emotion and aggression. Maintains a very unified
sound throughout its entirety, yet manages to give each song its own identity. In all honesty,
this album would deserve at least a 3 solely for One Armed Scissor and Arcarsenal, but the fact
that every other track manages to be just as amazingly raw, yet catchy simply makes this an
essential album to listen to. |
Between the Buried and Me Colors |
Extreme amounts of technicality can be found throughout, and the songwriting is highly creative, with many genre switches throughout keeping this album from becoming monotonous, as well as making it a very unique listen. |
Between the Buried and Me The Great Misdirect |
Essentially a more refined version of Colors in many ways, as the eclectic nature of the band is still in full force, but each transition sounds smoother, and the production is cleaner overall. The technical skill of each member in the band is utterly mindblowing, and there is a great mix of beautiful soft sections, and crushing heavy ones. |
Black Sabbath Sabbath Bloody Sabbath |
Black Sabbath Master of Reality |
Black Sabbath Paranoid |
While the singles on the album, such as Paranoid and Iron Man are absolute beasts of tracks, it's really the songs like Electric Funeral and War Pigs that make this such an unforgettable album. Constant amazing riffs can be found throughout. |
Camel Mirage |
Comus First Utterance |
Converge Jane Doe |
Dead Kennedys Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables |
Death Human |
Death Symbolic |
Death Grips The Money Store |
While each song sounds very similar in terms of soundscape (very dense, abrasive beats bordering on pure noise at many points), there is still a great deal of individuality in each song. The production in particular is to be noted, as it is consistently amazing and perfectly complements the pure anger displayed by MC Ride. |
