A surprisingly diverse record given context. I mean it's metalcore through and through, but you can actually tell the songs apart. Every song slaps.

Crisix Rise...Then Rest
First impression was that The Menace was a notably better record. However, after a couple
relistens I've come to appreciate the tighter writing on this album and I think it's just as good
as The Menace.
Crisix The Menace
Crisix Against the Odds
Excellent musicianship as is to be expected from Crisix. There is however, a noticeable change in tone from previous records. Against the Odds has a much more powerful punk/metalcore influence than they've shown before. While pop-culture still remains a popular subject matter (Xenomorph Blood, Prince of Saiyans, The North Remembers) it's presented in a much more serious way than the prior albums. This is not by any means a bad album, but the future could show this to be a turning point where Crisix left their juvenile thrashy style behind. Not something I would like to see.
Crucified Mortals Converted By Decapitation
Death Angel The Ultra-Violence
Destrage The King Is Fat'n'Old
A couple tracks with super fuckin' goofy lyrics. If not for that it would probably be a 4.
Down NOLA
Dust Bolt Awake the Riot
Earthside A Dream In Static
Earthside succeed in their attempt to make a "Cinematic Rock" album. That said, sometimes their pursuit leaves periods of excessive downtime (read- boring). While bothersome, the lulls don't outweigh the quality musicianship on display here. If they can tighten up their already solid songwriting, the next record could easily be a 9 if not 10/10.

While I could certainly understand people being put off by the ridiculous amount of distortion, I really enjoy it. A much more enjoyable album than Carnival Diablos.
Annihilator Annihilator
8 years after the release of Waking The Fury, Annihilator finally release another album worthy of the Annihilator name. So much so that they put it on there twice. Padden gives by far his best vocal performance, Jeff's riffing finds newfound life, and production is incredibly crisp.

Fog of War Here Lies Humanity
First listen-through I was pretty disappointed as I felt it fell flat after the excellence of their debut LP. After revisiting it though, it's clicked with me. It's still not as easily digestible primarily due to the average song being 36% longer than the last album and featuring more progressive elements, but I think ultimately I'll come to love this record as I did it's predecessor. The only thing I don't ever anticipate loving is the mastering; track volume varies severely.
Foo Fighters The Colour and the Shape
French Geometry Philip, What's The Password?
French Geometry French Geometry
Grave Violator Back To The Cult
Fav Track: Deliverance. Debut LP of the world's first Cum Metal band. Vocally and musically strong, but the lyrics are often too cheesy for me to enjoy, or to phrase it in a way more consistent with the tone of this album "The smegic phallus erupts forth an odorous putridity melting the soul from the olfactory down". While the excellent vocals and instrumentals warrant a listen, I don't foresee revisiting this album due to my issues with the lyrics. I will however check out their next release - no pun intended - in the hope they can maintain their excellent musicianship in a more mature record.
Gyorgy Ligeti Atmospheres
Ominous, Unnerving, ... Boring? As the name suggests, this composition is all about the atmosphere. Pretty much no melodic content which means that this excels at conveying mood alongside additional material (be it a film, game, or physical art), but feels lacking as a standalone piece.
Hatchet Dying To Exist
Far from innovative but a consistently fun thrash album. I did notice a "stolen" riff on 'Back into Dust' (Road Warrior - Warbringer), but I'll chalk that up to subconscious inspiration.

The Agonist Prisoners
Great vocals and instrumentals, but the lyrics are often so esoteric to the point of being comical. It's like this album was sponsored by Merriam-Webster. I'm guilty of co-writing songs with my word a day calendar, but this is really taking the piss.
The Beatles Abbey Road
The Long Winters Ultimatum
Love the opening track, but nothing else on this record has the same vibe.
Tim Wynn XCOM 2
Bombastic compositions that range from grim to hopeful serve to create an excellent backing to the game. However, many of these tracks feel similar to the point of lacking diversity. While this helps create a cohesive atmosphere for the game, it makes the OST a bit too "samey", dragging down what is an otherwise great score.

AWITW Radness City
Fav Tracks: Retrowaver 2k16, Night Designer. Only song I didn't care for was Back To the 80's. I didn't like the treatment of the vocals and the lyrics were extremely on the nose. Other than that Radness City is a very enjoyable EP.

AWITW Virtual Geometry
The reliance on percussion to drive the songs on this record creates a very enjoyable, if a bit one-note, experience.

Blood Incantation Hidden History of the Human Race
I can't *pbbt* understand *pbbt* your accent *pbbt*. Not bad by any stretch, but gets a bit up it's own ass with how much time is dedicated to building atmosphere. At it's best when it's focusing solely on getting you to bang your head.

Highlights: Through Eyes of Glass, Forbidden Evil, Marching Into Fire. Good vocals and even better instrumentals. Flow of most of the verses feels awkward and doesn't suit the vocalist. If not for that this would've easily been a 4/5 or higher.
Fusion Bomb Pravda
Really don't like the production. If it was produced similarly to Concrete Jungle it would kick major ass for sure. Riffs and vocals are both incredibly solid. As unlikely as it is, I would love for this to be remixed/remastered.

Lie in Ruins Demise
Pretentious as it may be to publish a 28 minute one song EP, if you're able to pack it end to end with solid musicianship it can be greater than an equal length traditional EP. Unfortunately Lie in Ruins, fail to do so. Most of Demise is a very enjoyable song, but there are enough lulls where had this been broken into 5-7 songs it would be improved. While I enjoyed my time with Demise, it's length means it won't be in my normal rotation, and I didn't like it enough to bother splitting it into a few different audio files.

Sellorekt/LA Dreams NightLife
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Laser Disc
Fav Tracks: Laser Disc, 4 Usual Suspects. Bounces all over in terms of vibe. The tempo of the songs here correlate pretty linearly with my enjoyment of them. 2.5 average
Ahoy The First Video Game
Some really great moments like the choir on The Oldest Strand, the main melody of More Machines Remain, and the strings and bass synth on Resolution harvest. But overall it's just a bit too mellow for me.
Annihilator Refresh The Demon
A song about the innocence of babies is decidedly not metal. Some fun songs on here to be certain, but a poor showing by annihilator's standards.
Annihilator Schizo Deluxe
I feel like the hate for Padden was somewhat undeserved on the last album. While his performance wasn't spectacular, the main problem for me were the lyrics. However, the situation has flipped on this album. The lyrics aren't nearly as bad, with some songs being pretty damn good, but his performance undermines the song's potential. The prime example of this is Clare, where the lyrics and music are perfect ingredients for a killer song, but his performance brings it down a few notches. Overall a slightly better album than All For You, but still fails to capitalize on most of its potential.
Annihilator For the Demented
Annihilator Metal
Anyone giving this a 1 would rather get high off the scent of their own farts than approach an album with an open mind. There are definitely problems here. The drum tone is unexciting, the vocals sit in an awkward spot between rock and metal, and the songs tend to wear out their welcome. But is it an awful album? Absolutely not. Not only is this slightly below average at worst, it's not even the worst offering from Annihilator.
Anthrax Spreading the Disease
Production quality hurts this one a lot, could have easily been 3.5, maybe 4.
Arrayan Path Dawn of Aquarius
Highlights: So It Shall Be Written, She Who Is Primordial Wisdom, Dawn of Aquarius. Excellent vocals and guitar, but the songwriting is boring just as often as it is gripping. An over reliance on choruses that aren't particularly catchy, and a tendency to simply sing over music rather than create a sense of unity prevents this album sustaining the heights seen in some tracks. Guardian Angel exemplifies the issues on this album, a fantastic performance but underwhelming composition lead to a feeling of greatly missed potential. That's not to say the lyrics themselves are bad, simply the composition. Lyrics alone however, do not a song make.
Artical Illusion X
Highlights: Wings of Time, Illusion X. Great vocals and instrumentals marred by occasionally sloppy writing. "I Am So Different" is the most obvious example, with lyrics so cheesy I developed type 2 diabetes after a minute of listening. However, when Artical buckle down and focus on a track, it's phenomenal. The title track exemplifies the successes of the album. Unfortunately there is not enough excellence here to push 'Illusion X' above average.

Fav tracks: Hollywood Dreams, In the Air. Good vocals and decent instrumentals, but I wasn't a huge fan of the mix.
bLiNd Furious 3
Only track I loved was "Goin' Nowhere". I feel like if the hip-hop elements were much less pronounced and the focus was more on letting the instrumentals dominate, it would've improved the record.
Blind Guardian Follow the Blind
Blue Oyster Cult Agents of Fortune
Carlos Viola The Last Door - Chapter Three
Cats Never Die Diary (Part 1)
Wasn't too impressed by the vocals or lyrics, but very instrumentally solid.
Children of Bodom Relentless Reckless Forever
Crimson Fire Fireborn
Highlights: Take to the Skies, Hunter, Knightrider. While there are some great tracks here, each one has a generic counterpart elsewhere on the album. Certainly worth a listen, but anyone who doesn't like power metal will not see their mind changed by 'Fireborn'.
Cyberwalker Future Waves
Damokles Retronomic Time Adventure
Liked the track aside from the weirdly tacked on rap verse. Much prefer the instrumental.
Das Mortal Naissance d'un zombie (OST)
This album is like an ice cream shop that only gives samples, all the songs feel too short. Serves its purpose as an OST, but falls short as a separate listening experience. To be clear, all the music is good, but this record leaves my balls looking like neptune.
Das Mortal Hotline Miami II
Solid throughout, but lacks any standout tracks. Good background music.
Das Mortal Never Forgotten EP
Das Mortal Always Loved
I think this would have been a 3/3.5 had it been an instrumental album
Don Virtual
17 minutes of chill vibes. No track particularly stood out to me as good or bad. Great background music but a bit dull as a standalone listen. I think the tracks Artificial and Virtual had the potential to be great if they'd focused on melody more than ambience.
Dust Bolt Trapped in Chaos
Favorite tracks: Rhythm To My Madness, Trapped In Chaos, Another Day In Hell. Solid - if not revolutionary - guitar work, but vocals and drums leave a lot to be desired. Strings sound good, but the rest of the mix feels thin. I think it's primarily the vocals that hold this record back; instrumentally everything is good, but I really just can't get behind the vocals. Most of the time they seem to lack the fire of earlier releases, and even during intense sections they don't feel as natural. Last song is great though.

Lost Outrider Heart
Starts off really strong with a catchy vocally driven song, followed up by a solid instrumental piece. After the opening tracks however it falls into genericness. Luckily it ends on a high note with the atmospheric They Never Existed, but the huge lull in the middle really holds this record back.
Marauder Elegy of Blood
Highlights: Alexander, Hiroshima, Black Gold. Very strong NWOBHM vibes, Maiden and Priest in particular. Some power metal influence as well. Enjoyable but feels dated. Your dad would like this.
Mayday (USA-FL, Hip-Hop) Believers
Well produced, and some really solid songs. That said, most of the tracks blend together without much going on beyond the slick production. A lot of the tracks also have like 2 verses and 5 hooks/bridges which makes them feel annoyingly repetitive.
Megadeth The World Needs a Hero
Megadeth Super Collider
MicroMatscenes Allegria
MicroMatscenes has a surprisingly decent voice, and I'd like to hear him sing more in his music.
Midnight Driver Synthetic Journey
Midnight Driver Discotek
Motorhead Sacrifice
Love how heavy this record is, but the production is seriously disappointing.
Muse The 2nd Law
Nekrogoblikon Goblin Island
Highlights: Goblins Ahoy!, Goblins Are Better Than Trolls, In the Hall of the Goblin King. First three songs nearly had me skipping this one, but I'm glad I stuck around, because starting with 'Goblins Ahoy!' this becomes a much more fun record. The style doesn't always work for me, but when It does it's very entertaining. Ballsy move to put an electronic track on here as well, but I like it.
Peter Zimmermann Throught The Night (Part I)
First few tracks are great but then it peters out. The strings on Changes were awesome and I wish they'd been the focus of the song.
Prodigal Earth Zenith II Zero
Favorites: Lonely Gods, Crossroads, The Young Ones. For those who want constant intensity from their music, don't bother with this record. For those looking for a varied presentation of soft ballads and energetic anthems this is certainly worth a listen. I myself am of the more 'constant intensity' persuasion, so I felt somewhat underwhelmed. Vocals are excellent and instrumentation is good, but I found many of the tracks boring.
Python Blue Alias
Renz Wilde City Boy
Rocket From The Crypt Paint as a Fragrance
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Sounds and Waves
I liked the first half but found the second boring.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Elysian (EP)
First half wasn't bad but felt boring. Last two tracks were a huge improvement.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Nostalgia

Sellorekt/LA Dreams The Program
Sellorekt/LA Dreams We Make The Rules
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Maxiom
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Fantasy Hard Drive
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Pulse
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Mirrors
Favorite Tracks: Rhythm Unites Us, Silk Stalking, Let's Party.
Slayer Undisputed Attitude
Slayer pull off punk really well, and Araya's vocals are sick, but I wish the tracklist was more diverse. A lot of these songs blend together.
Slayer World Painted Blood
Synthatiger Turbo Drive
I dig what this EP's trying to do. I like the guitar work and the overall soundscape. Despite that, the individual tracks don't really do it for me. The singer has a good voice but there's something about his delivery that feels off. Maybe it's just his accent, but idk. I liked Synth City and the instrumental versions of Turbo Drive and Beyond the Grid.
Tech N9ne Boiling Point
The Foreign Around Every Corner
The Raconteurs Broken Boy Soldiers
Fav Tracks: Broken Boy Soldier, Level, Store Bought Bones. Rock tracks are great, but I found the more poppy tracks boring.
Tobias Lilja Little Nightmares (Original Soundtrack)
Favorite Tracks: Lure Of The Maw, The Death Waltz, Prison Toys. Alongside the game this creates an excellent atmosphere, but as an isolated album it's a bit too plain.
Tomb Mold Planetary Clairvoyance
Hints of brilliance fail to overcome the overwhelming sense of boredom this album creates.
Vampire Step-Dad The Sun Also Sets
Vulture (DE) The Guillotine
Wait And See Aera
Enjoyable enough but mostly unspectacular. Only track I really liked was Radio Flash.
Weird Al Yankovic Polka Party
Weird Al Yankovic UHF
Weird Al Yankovic Off the Deep End

2.0 poor
2Pac Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.
Anal Cunt Picnic of Love
Fuckin' blows but at least it's good for a laugh, especially with context.
Annihilator Remains
Has all the hallmarks of a dogshit album, yet manages to be nothing less than below average.
Annihilator All for You
"What if the doctor was evil, and very, very mean." Jeff's always been a good songwriter but whatever estrogen supplements he was taking to write 'The One' clouded his brain since the lyrics on this record blow. It doesn't help that the vocals are mediocre as well, though not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. To be fair, I like the vocalist when he's goofing off, but most of the songs are pretty straight-faced. As with any Annihilator album there are some good riffs on here, but the shitty lyrics stop me from being able to really enjoy them.
Annihilator Feast
Annihilator Suicide Society
Jeff's voice is occasionally good here but the amount of stolen and recycled material is off-putting. Lyrics mostly range from underwhelming to embarrassing. This whole album feels like Jeff and Co. going through the motions. Even on a bad day Annihilator don't put out pure trash albums, but this is probably as close as they've gotten. Maybe better than All For You, but definitely a low point.

AWITW Addicted EP Vol I
AWITW Addicted EP Vol II
AWITW DBS001 | Meeting Point
AWITW Emerald Coast EP
AWITW Faith Kills EP
First track is solid. Second is alright but a bit bland. Really don't like the vocals on the third.
AWITW Floating World
AWITW The Girl From Eorzea
AWITW Insanity
Conceptually interesting but the only track that's fun to listen to is the first.
AWITW Night Cruise
AWITW Nobody
AWITW Nocturnal
AWITW Nostalgia
AWITW Passionate
AWITW Retrovisions T-120
AWITW Sexualizer EP
The overt moans in the first two tracks were an awful idea and do nothing but make the tracks uncomfortable to listen to. Thankfully this idea was abandoned for the rest of the EP. Love Simulator and Everything Was Perfect are great tracks, but the overall record is substantially hurt by the inclusion of the first couple songs.
AWITW She Walk Alone う者姻
AWITW Temptations EP
AWITW Timeless
AWITW TNGHT
AWITW Without You
AWITW Closer
Songs with Sergi Yaro flow well enough and he has a nice voice, but the songwriting is very poor. So far I've been very unimpressed with all the rappers that have had verses on AWITW songs and 2Nick8 is no exception. The Instrumentals are alright, but not enough to save the album.
AWITW Mirage
Only track that stood out to me was Remember When.
AWITW Funkadelic Sessions
Seems to have been scrubbed from the internet and I can't figure out why because this isn't that bad. Songwriting isn't great, but the vocals are mostly solid and the instrumentals are good. Only tracks that really grabbed me were Circles and Give Me Love, primarily for the vocal performance.
AWITW Contact
Dug Rogue One DX and Odyssey but nothing else grabbed me.
AWITW Arcade Summer
Most of the songs are too long for how little variety they offer.
bLiNd Airglider
Really liked the ethereal singing on the opening track but the vocals on later tracks didn't really do it for me. Solid rhythms, but I would've liked to see more melodicism.
bLiNd Magic
Liked Magic and Decepitconned but found the other tracks dull.
ChainsHeart Leaving Planet Hell
Generic heavy metal with touches of rock. Nothing stands out as particularly bad, and nothing stands out as good either. While this surely has an audience, I'm not it.
Counterparts The Current Will Carry Us
Damokles Bring Out The Funk
Honestly not that bad, but felt too repetitive and I didn't really love the vocals.
Diphtheria To Wait For Fire
Highlights: I believe, As Darkness Casts Its Veil, Sleeping With the Worms. Every aspect of this album is inferior to later efforts by the Leptos brothers. Vocals, instrumentals, and songwriting feel under developed. All elements here are sufficient and none of the songs stick out as being particularly awful, rather the entire album is homogeneously meh. As Darkness Casts Its Veil is an exception, and serves as the high point of the album. While there are some fun riffs and impressive vocal sections, the majority of 'To Wait For Fire' is an exercise in patience.
Hubrid AUTO-DISSECTION
Most of the remixes don't add much to the source material, and most of the originals aren't especially gripping.
Levinsky Electra Complex
Logic Young, Broke & Infamous
Logic Young Sinatra
Logic Young Sinatra: Undeniable
Manhatten Blue Sky Girl
Solid vibes but most tracks go on too long. If this were tightened up it would probably be a 3.
Metallica St. Anger
Mobile Deathcamp Clear and Present Anger
Recommended Tracks: Field General, Earth Metal, Vocal Assemblage. I to want like these guys, really I do. They bring a lot of energy and they're trying to stand out by including Native American elements in their music (see Uhyusti). The problem is, that this doesn't translate well into their actual music, which sounds generic throughout the album. Compared to "Summon the Destroyer" this is less musically entertaining, but has more elements of their unique Native American spin. If they could better combine their values with the music while introducing more creative songwriting and riffs, they have potential to be a very entertaining band. Until then, they'll stay a boring generic ball of potential.
Mobile Deathcamp Summon The Destroyer
Forgettable generic thrash. Not bad, but nothing you haven't heard before. When one of the most memorable tracks is a Devo cover, you know there's a problem. Production is less than stellar as well. Recommended tracks: Deferred Pilgrimage, Freedom of Choice, Exhaustion.
New Arcades Returning Home
Found the instrumentals boring, and only 2 of the tracks with vocals grabbed me. Singer has a good voice, but felt that the music and production was lacking. Solid potential and I wouldn't be at all surprised if later efforts were more refined.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams BellaDonna
Fav track: Are you still here. Run of the mill Synthwave. Would have given a 2.5 if not for the absolute aural assault that was Jovian. I don't know if it was a mistake in the export, but the super high volume combined with the grating instrumental made it literally painful to listen to.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams The Adventure Begins
Fav Track: Wings of the Phoenix. The titular adventure must be the same one referenced in every 20 year old girl's tinder bio. Brings nothing new nor exceptionally crafted to the table. Perfectly competent composition and sufficient production, but honestly an unexciting release. Some enjoyable bits (bass in No Holding Back, backing melody in Am I dreaming, main melody of Wings of the Phoenix). None of the tracks here are unpleasant so I feel less than a 2 is unfair, but this can easily be skipped.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Phases
Liked the first track but everything afterwards felt too similar.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams The Digital Culture
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Velocity
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Paper Objects
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Magic
Sellorekt/LA Dreams A Perfect World
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Insomnia
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Avenue Electric
Wrote a long fucking soundoff that got deleted by needing to sign in when i hit submit. Long story short, not bad but repetitive.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Marathon
Most songs feel too repetitive. Could have been fixed by shortening most songs, or increasing the variety of melodies.
Sellorekt/LA Dreams Coast
Sellorekt/LA Dreams A Teen Romance
Shadows and Mirrors Levels
Fav Tracks: Deathbed. Plenty of good ideas here but it feels like a bunch of rough drafts rather than refined tracks. I like the singer's voice, but I don't think his delivery fits the instrumentals very well. That really takes away from potentially great songs like Ridgway, Breeder, and Becoming. While this is separate from the music, I will say that the physical design of the album as well as the art are kickass. I absolutely love the cover art.
Thug Life Thug Life
Trinakrius Introspectum
Great instrumentals, but the vocals lag far behind. A completely different vocal style, or a vocalist who can put more power behind the current style would vastly improve this album.

1.5 very poor
Anal Cunt Fuckin' A
The only thing this album is good for is proving that Anal Cunt can't make a good record even when trying. At least it killed Seth.
Anal Cunt 110 Song CD
Anal Cunt It Just Gets Worse
Anal Cunt I Like It When You Die
Anal Cunt 40 More Reasons To Hate Us
Sucks less dick than their two prior records, but still gargles cum.
Anal Cunt Top 40 Hits
Anal Cunt Everyone Should Be Killed
The only good thing about this record is the song titles
Desiigner New English
Despite the album title, it's most enjoyable if you pretend it's not in English.
