"Playing With Fire", which is their best song in my opinion, bops hard thanks to its interesting instrumental melody in its chorus, complementing the girls' chants. The minimalistic blend of claps, guitars and harmonica in "Stay" allows BLACKPINK's vocals to shine through in this folk-pop esque piece.Dreamcatcher (KR) Nightmare - Escape the ERADreamcatcher (KR) Alone in the CityDreamcatcher (KR) Dystopia : The Tree of LanguagePowerwolf The Sacrament of SinSoilwork The Living InfiniteSoilwork VerklighetenTwo Steps From Hell Unleashed4.0 excellentAllegaeon ApoptosisAmon Amarth JomsvikingBLACKPINK Square OneThis EP slaps hard with two equally strong tracks: "Whistle" is a minimalist song that puts BLACKPINK's vocals on full display, while "Boombayah" is a party-ready track that never loses momentum from start to finish. Their attempts to make themselves more "accessible" even though they already are raccessible further dilutes the quality of their songs. There are some good songs such as "Lovesick Girls" that harken back to good rqualities of their previous songs such as "As If It's Your Last". "You Never Know" is also a highlight, which utilise the strength rof the girls' vocals and smart instrument choices to differentiate itself from the obligatory ballads found in most k-pop albums.rHowever, many of the songs are ok at best, and "Ice Cream", despite being a promising collaboration with Selena Gomez (though not rher fault), is absolute rubbish.Hidden Citizens ReawakeningsITZY IT'z MELeague of Legends WarsongsMamamoo Red MoonPowerwolf Return in BloodredRed Velvet #Cookie JarRed Velvet Summer MagicRed Velvet RBB2.5 averageBLACKPINK SQUARE UPBLACKPINK Born PinkEh album. None of their songs were extremely bad (Ice Cream was terrible) but not particularly good either. Shut Down could've been interesting with the recurring violin leitmotif but was kinda bland in the end.rRecommended: "Yeah Yeah Yeah" and "Hard to Love"BTS Love Yourself: 轉 'Tear'BTS Love Yourself 結 'Answer'Fall Out Boy M A N I AFive Finger Death Punch Got Your Six2.0 poorFive Finger Death Punch The Wrong Side of Heaven and The Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1Five Finger Death Punch And Justice for NoneMomoland Great!JUST LET IT BBOOM BBOOM the rest of the album isn't that special unfortunately1.0 awfulChris Brown Heartbreak on a Full MoonDragonForce Ultra BeatdownSonic Syndicate Confessions
