I may have given it a higher rating if I didn't love Eons so much. It was one of the few albums I've absolutely loved at first listen and still love today. Unfortunately, this album did not impress me as much. I'm sure much of that has to do with being more accustomed to their sound now. I'm fairly certain Layers of Us will continue to grow on me more; there's nothing wrong with the album. I guess I just have to say it bores me a bit more than their last album. Still, this is a crimininally underrated band. I'm happy to own both Layers of us and Eons on Vinyl.The Strokes The New Abnormal2.0 poorMaroon 5 Red Pill BluesBand can be catchy, all the singles off their last album sucked. I wouldn't rate an album of their's above 2.5, except maybe their first. What Lovers Do is a damn catchy track though.
