Album is a MUST for fans of the game Halo, and if you just looking for something weird ,different or musicaly out there. Many part reminds me of the older games. But this is something completely unique, detached in some kind of far away dimension. Have not heard anything else like it.
Count to Altek The Rain Gods
changes the definition of prog and new wave... You'll find only hints of jazz left here.... along with having a strong ambient/ new age/ 90s nature documentary-esque backdrop, it also has a strong but unique pop sensibility. The album is a master stroke of 2018 prog. The last song is perfection.

Here is something different. King Green is always giving us crazy space metal. Well here we have an example of synthpop and prog intertwined in a dreamy and sci-fi fashion. The production sounds dated (super 80s) and the drums are pingy and reverby, but it doesn't detract from the music and actually does much to support it. The melodies and build-ups on here are very powerful, and the last track offers a great closer to it all.

King as far as prog records go. My uncle was the one who showed me this band a few years ago. This is the album that stands out as essential. Great playing and all you could want from progressive songwriting.

A jazz album for jazz musicians. Gorgeous, almost rJapanese-sounding harmonies really bring this to a refined rplateau. Be sure to listen for the drums on 'Poem for rSoleri'; barerly even seems humanly possible.

A new 2019 remaster of this album was uploaded to bandcamp according to kinggreenofficial's Instagram. this new version pretty much just kicks the drums and sound dynamics into high gear. a more enjoyable listen than my first time around. really good lofi-blackened-jazz-improv.

So something has to be said for how consistently beautiful Myles? music is and this album is a welcome addition
to his catalogue. It can wander around a lot of the time in its atmospheric flow, but while it may not have ?
bangers? its not really an album that is meant to. These are lush ambient tracks to float to, with many oddities
floating with you along the way.

amazing. not the greatest EP of 2016, not by a long shot,

this EP packs a surefire punch.

Karnivool Sound Awake
Sound Awake puts Karnivool on a big musical map and introduced them to a wider audience. While it is not perfect, the mood and songwriting is still at front & center, so in the end it achieves what it sets out to do and remains a powerful rock album and a well rounded one at that.

I like a lot of your work but seriously dude.... what the fuck is this? I'm almost amazed that you took the time to edit out such a strange and off-putting product. Sounds like alien flatulence with weird objects falling down stairs constantly. I like the ambient parts but this is near unlistenable... Like almost not even music.
