Rebellion In Dreamland, Land Of The Free & Abyss Of The Void are quite easily some of the best songs ever produced by the genre, with RiD arguably the best ever written.Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin IVRainbow RisingYes FragileYes Close to the Edge4.5 superbAvantasia The Metal OperaBlind Guardian At the Edge of TimeBlue Oyster Cult Secret TreatiesBlue Oyster Cult Agents of FortuneDire Straits Brothers in ArmsEric Clapton SlowhandGamma Ray Somewhere Out in SpaceGamma Ray Power PlantHelloween Keeper of the Seven Keys Part IIKing Crimson In the Court of the Crimson KingLed Zeppelin Led Zeppelin IILed Zeppelin RemastersOrphaned Land Mabool (The Story of the Three Sons...)Rainbow Long Live Rock 'n' RollUriah Heep SalisburyUriah Heep Demons and WizardsYes Tales from Topographic OceansYes Relayer4.0 excellentAvantasia GhostlightsBlind Guardian A Twist in the MythBlind Guardian Beyond the Red MirrorBon Jovi CrossroadEagles Very Best OfFleetwood Mac Tango in the NightGamma Ray No World OrderGuns N' Roses Appetite for DestructionHelloween Keeper of the Seven Keys Part ILed Zeppelin Led Zeppelin IIIRainbow Ritchie Blackmore's RainbowSteppenwolf SteppenwolfSteppenwolf The SecondStratovarius VisionsStratovarius InfiniteThe Who Then and NowTwo Steps From Hell InvincibleU2 The Joshua TreeUriah Heep Very 'eavy... The tragedy of the Trojan War had never seemed more alive and encapsulating as when I first listened to 'And Then There Was Silence'. In fourteen minutes of spell-binding storytelling I had been converted to a genre I had never heard of before and found a new favourite band. Five years later the memory of that fateful day is somewhat jaded. Blind Guardian's seventh outing certainly does not sound as it once did before, having explored their entire repertoire. Other albums capture the majesty which this German outfit can conjure and it is surely not a coincidence that very few of the songs from A Night At The Opera are performed in their live concerts. It seems to me now a wonder that this rather sedate yet well-crafted album led to my enduring love of the genre. For those new to power metal or Blind Guardian this is definitely not the album to start with.Elvenking HeathenreelElvenking WyrdFoo Fighters Sonic HighwaysFranz Ferdinand Franz FerdinandMaegi Skies FallSonata Arctica EclipticaStratovarius EpisodeStratovarius DestinyStratovarius Elements, Pt. 1The Rasmus Dead LettersThe Rasmus Hide from the SunThe Script The Script3.0 goodAlan Parsons A Valid PathAvantasia The Wicked SymphonyAn album which really pales compared to The Metal Opera or Ghostlights.
