Alter Bridge Walk The Sky
Some singles were almost a bit too misleading as being some of the weaker tracks on the album,
but the whole thing is an hour of a banger. When you listen to it all, it sounds like Alter Bridge and
how you would imagine they sound. If you took The Last Hero out of their discography and this
came after fortress, they would have 5 seamlessly transitioned albums (TLH is still good just
saying). The album definitely feels like how they described it. Its very reminiscent of Both
Blackbird and AB 3. If you're wondering what i'm talking about: It sounds like the musicianship and
style of AB 3, but with the brighter or happier tone felt on some of the songs in Blackbird. Best

I'm blown away by this, did not expect them to release such an awesome album. A departure from their previous styles, but still sounding like Avenged Sevenfold. IMO they found their sound.
Canadian Softball Awkward and Depressed
The return of Jarrod Alonge with his brand of musical satire is funny and enjoyable as the original songs. Going over the top on parodying classic emo bands, Jarrod takes shots at other topics, including entitlement and Donald Trump as well.

From Ashes To New Day One
Great bend of genre's and influences here. Sounds like Linkin Park, Hollywood Undead, Limp Bizkit, and Papa Roach had a baby. Their blend of rap, alternative metal, electronic, hip hop, post hardcore, and hard rock really works, could turn into another LP but we'll see where they go in the next few years.

Korn Follow the Leader
Korn The Serenity of Suffering
Definitely their most improved album since the release of Follow The Leader/Issues. Black Is The
Soul, The Hating, and Insane are personal favorites. Can here the influences from Untouchables all
the way back to Self-Titled/Life is Peachy. Riffs are on point, drumming is super solid, bass holds
down the fort, and Davis' vocal ability from creating a creepy, atmospheric sound to brutal gutturals is
found all around on this record and really adds a punch. Really impressed and thrilled to see this band
still going 20+ years later.
Like Moths to Flames Dark Divine
EASILY their best work. I don't want to sugar coat it because it's now ground breaking. However I have a soft spot for these fellas and this really scratches that itch, so i'm gonna be biased.rSorry not sorry

Shoutout to some of the best marketing done for an album. What I expected from northlane: atmospheric metalcore with prog infliences. Nicely done.
Nothing More The Stories We Tell Ourselves
Appears some people found this more generic from their self-titled, but honestly its pretty on par with that record. Not much has changed, if anything they matured a little bit and have some restraint on some tracks and play it a little more mellow. Regardless, a solid hard rock effort with prog influences that stands above the stagnant crowd of radio rock.
nothing,nowhere. Reaper

Oceans Ate Alaska Hikari
Featuring their new vocalist, Oceans Ate Alaska do not disappoint with their crazy, technical genre-blending piece of art. Mixing odd time-signatures and crazy technicality, a huge variety of vocal approaches, and a bending of metalcore and deathcore with traditional Japanese instrumentals and musical influence, OAA do not fall for the 'sophomore slump.' 8/10

10 Years From Birth to Burial
10 Years (How to Live) As Ghosts
After hearing the dissapointing releases by the likes of Red, Weezer, and TOADM, 10 years came through with consistency and a solid hard rock release. In no way is this unique, however it's consistent, flows well, and holds up to their past releases. Decent vocal delivery as always with enjoyable atmosphere. The instrumentals feel dull in spots, but it works.
