There is exactly one weak spot on this album, and that's the first song. It's great the first few listens, but has zero staying power. The rest of the album, however, will stick in your head for weeks. Massive riffs (Faith in Yourself, Risk and Writhing, Habbibi) and equally massive choruses (Out of the Silence, A Tingling on your Bright Skin) are littered throughout this album, which maintains a high level of consistently inventive songwriting across all the tracks except the opener. Hugely recommended. |
