Agalloch The Mantle
The sounds heard from this recording create a sense of wonder on how such sounds could be created. The whole album is amazingly original. The use of acoustic guitar mixed with a certain heaviness at times is rather breathtaking. A must for anyone who seeks the original and the hard to obtain.

Go see this band live. Don't ask questions. JSB are a dancey-jamey band from Halifax, Nova-
Scotia (thats in Canada). They play long prog-like dance epics that make everyone in the
room feel the need to stand up and smash the dance floor. "Like being on mushrooms without
eating mushrooms".

The Mars Volta De-Loused in the Comatorium
Defiantly my favorite album of all time. Every song makes me feel like jumping up and down while "dancing" like some of the most energetic musicians out there, Cedric Bixler-Zavala and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. It's insane.

A hard hitting if not heavy album. Heavy in the sense that gallons of energy are put into it. You will not get far into your listening before realizing that. The whole team work in wonderful unison to create their signature sound: Crazy.

With the new line-up, Gus G has obtained a fairly new sound with Firewind's fourth official full length album. To me it
was a little less epic the earlier works, you could even say it was slightly heavier than past releases. The album has a
few flaws and can get a little repetitive in the end. Still, a great listen for any power metal fan. Again, blazing guitar
work from Gus G. Very creative solos that fit in very well with the rest of the music.

Apocalyptica Amplified: A Decade Of Reinventing The Cello
Yes, is has some of Apocalyptica's best on here but it could have had much better songs such as Fisheye, Quutamo, Fatal Error, Prologue (Apprehension), and so on. Still, a great band and killer tracks. If you havent already listened to them, I suggest you do.

I was hearing good things about this band from a friend so I decided to check them out. I got my hands on a copy of 'Rocket Ride'. Upon my first listen, all I could think about was that this band sounds exactly like every other band of this type. I found almost no originality, it was all good old power metal. I guess this could be a good thing for some of us but I like music that is exciting and original (DragonForce anyone?). What I am trying to say is, for power metal, this album is so average it's almost funny.

Now this is what people should call emo. Two very bad elements put into one: Country and Emo. I guess they already go hand in hand. With horribly catchy songs like "What Hurts The Most", this album will probably make you squirm for a few days.
