5.0 classic
Arcade Fire Funeral
Converge Jane Doe
I think there's no album that needed longer to grow on me, but the wait was incredibly rewarding. Jane Doe is incredibly agressive, technically mindblowing and -propably above all- truly emotional
Deafheaven Sunbather
Gang of Youths Go Farther in Lightness
This may be the greatest post-depression album ever. It is for me, anyway
Glassjaw Coloring Book
This is just too good, I can't even complain about it not being full-lenght.
Godspeed You! Black Emperor F♯ A♯ ∞
Godspeed You! Black Emperor Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven
ISIS Panopticon
Post metal at its absoulute peak. There are few albums as atmospheric yet at the same time crushingly heavy as Panopticon.
ISIS Oceanic
Jeff Rosenstock WORRY.
Kendrick Lamar To Pimp a Butterfly
Kyuss Welcome to Sky Valley
Oh what a hell of a ride this album is- clearly the best in its genre.
Modern Life Is War Witness
Queens of the Stone Age Songs for the Deaf
One of the best straight up rock record ever -this album just doesn't get boring, no matter how often i listen to it.
Radiohead Kid A
Radiohead In Rainbows
Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine
Refused The Shape Of Punk To Come
The best Punk album ever! The influence this record had not only on hardcore, but on music in general can't be overvalued.
Streetlight Manifesto Everything Goes Numb
Everything on EWN is at least one level above all I've heard in the genre, be it the infectious and creative songwriting, the super complex horn- and relentless rhythm section or the witty yet often surprisingly dark lyrics. One of my favorite albums of all times.
Television Marquee Moon
The Clash London Calling
One of the most important albums in music history, London Calling essentially shows that punk rock can be so much more than fast played, three chord based Rock'n'Roll with angry lyrics.
The Dillinger Escape Plan Dissociation
The Menzingers On the Impossible Past
Titus Andronicus The Monitor
Typhoon (USA-OR) White Lighter
Wire Pink Flag

4.5 superb
A Wilhelm Scream Career Suicide
Against Me! Reinventing Axl Rose
Agalloch Ashes Against the Grain
Agalloch The Mantle
AJJ People Who Can Eat People are the Luckiest People
Alice in Chains Dirt
The best album the Seattle Grunge explosion brought with it. The combination of Staleys vocals and Cantrells guitar playing is simply stellar.
Aphex Twin Richard D. James Album
Astronautalis This Is Our Science
At the Drive-In Relationship of Command
Beach House 7
Behemoth The Satanist

Captain, We're Sinking The Future Is Cancelled
Captain We're Sinking release an almost flawless punk rock record.
Circle Takes the Square As the Roots Undo
One of the most challenging and unique things I have heard;Perfectly imperfect like a storm
Cloud Nothings Here and Nowhere Else
Converge Axe to Fall
Converge All We Love We Leave Behind
Converge You Fail Me
Converge Jane Live
Amazing live version of one of my absolute favorites. The mastering is amazing, as one would
expect from a project Kurt Ballou is involved in. Especially Jake Bannon sounds like a
fucking beast. Contrasting Jane Live with the original album actually gives great insight
into the evolution of Ballou as a producer. In the first half, the guitar parts may not be
quite as tight as hoped for, but from Phoenix In Flight, when Stephen Brodsky joins in,
onwards, everything is just completely mindblowing.
Converge The Dusk in Us
CunninLynguists Oneirology
Dangers Anger
23 minutes of some the purest, angriest hardcore I've ever heard.
Danny Brown Atrocity Exhibition
Deftones White Pony
Deftones Koi No Yokan
Almost White Pony level and in my opinion even better than Diamond Eyes. Rosemary blew my mind mind from the first listen and continues to do so.
Dinosaur Jr. Farm
Dinosaur Jr. You're Living All Over Me
DJ Shadow Endtroducing.....

FKA Twigs LP1
Fleet Foxes Helplessness Blues
Flying Lotus Cosmogramma
Foals Total Life Forever
Forest Swords Compassion
Frank Turner Love, Ire & Song
On his masterpiece Frank Turner, probably punk rocks greatest poet, churns out anthem after anthem. The music is amazingly diverse and fun but it is the lyrics- sometimes upbeat, sometimes melancholy, always quotably- that truly make this album a classic.

This is exactly how progressive metal should sound. And I'm really no fan of the genre.
Mastodon Blood Mountain
Metallica Ride the Lightning
Mount Eerie A Crow Looked At Me
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Let Love In
Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral
One of the most exhausting albums of all times, this bleak tale of downfall and depression shows Trent Reznor at his absolute best as a songwriter.
Nirvana In Utero

Queens of the Stone Age ...Like Clockwork
QOTSA show whole new unexpected qualities with their latest album, and I absolutely love it.
Radiohead OK Computer
Radiohead A Moon Shaped Pool

Rosetta The Galilean Satellites
Run the Jewels Run the Jewels 2
Absolutely amazing and the next step from RTJ 1, everything on here has improved, from El's production to the lyrics and delivery. Jaime and Mikey prove why they are the biggest thing in underground Hip Hop these days.
Run the Jewels Run the Jewels 3
Shabazz Palaces Black Up
Streetlight Manifesto Somewhere in the Between
Streetlight Manifesto The Hands That Thieve
The Clash The Clash
The Dillinger Escape Plan Option Paralysis
The Dismemberment Plan Emergency & I
The Doors The Doors
The Hotelier Home, Like NoPlace Is There
The opener is one of the best tracks of the year. The rest of the album sadly can't quite live up to it as it mostly sticks to the tried pop punk formula. But that it does really well, resulting in an emotionally draining, introspective piece of music.
The Menzingers After the Party
The Microphones The Glow Pt. 2
The National Boxer
The National High Violet
The Smith Street Band Throw Me in the River
The Smith Street Band is one of these bands you immediately fall in love with through their heart on sleeve lyrics and emotional delivery. TMitR is no exception to this.

Death Grips The Powers That B - Part II: Jenny Death
On part 2 of The Powers That B, Death Grips unique approach to Hip Hop is taken to new levels through loads of noisy guitars and some surprisingly introspective lyrics (eg. On GP). It seems like DG finally realized their immense potential.
Defeater Lost Ground
Condensed to a six song EP, the formula of passionate melodic hardcore with an underlying story that Defeater already used on their debut, works even better since the only real flaw on Travels was in my opinion a lack of diversity.

As a whole, the EP doesn't appear to be fully developed. That's not too bad though, as it
mostly seems to serve as a teaser for a coming full length. As such, 13 succeeds completely.
Everything, from the production to Denzel's incredible flow, is a step up from the already
great Imperial. Now, I couldn't be more excited for Taboo.
