Probably one of the best soundtracks to be made that you can listen to as stand alone without playing the gameMick Gordon Doom Eternal OSTHaving listened to a fair bit of this now, this is absolutely an amazing soundtrack and probably one of the best of all time. Let it be known though, that the tracks mixed by Mick himself are the true standouts here and while the other songs are good, they don't carry the same weight as the tracks where Mick's handiwork is clearly showcasedMisery Signals MirrorsMisery Signals Absent LightMiss Fortune A Spark To BelieveMonuments (UK) The AmanuensisNorthlane DiscoveriesNovelists Demos (2013–2014)Polaris The Death of MeTexas in July BloodworkThe Color Morale Know HopeThe Color Morale My Devil In Your EyesThe Ongoing Concept SaloonThe Ongoing Concept HandmadeThis or the Apocalypse Dead YearsThousand Below The Love You Let Too CloseUnearth Watchers of RuleWhile She Sleeps Brainwashed4.0 excellentArtifex Pereo PassengersI feel comparisons to the way the band is evolving is akin to the same way that I The Mighty are. More technical record followed by a more atmospheric and nuanced oneAugust Burns Red MessengersBlind Witness Nightmare on Providence StreetCounterparts Private RoomCurrents The Way It EndsWith the singles being by far the weakest songs of this release, the rest of the album shows some experimentation that I wasn't expecting. I think a lot of people won't necessarily like the change of direction from the heavier sound, but I think it suits what they were going for in this instanceDance Gavin Dance Downtown Battle MountainDance Gavin Dance Artificial SelectionDance Gavin Dance AfterburnerElitist Reshape ReasonEmarosa VersusEminem The Eminem ShowERRA AndromedaForevermore TelosFort Minor The Rising TiedHeart in Hand Only MemoriesHeart in Hand Almost ThereI Killed the Prom Queen Music for the Recently DeceasedIce Nine Kills The Predator Becomes the PreyIn Fear and Faith Your World On FireInvent Animate EverchangerKingdom of Giants Ground CultureMiss Fortune How the Story EndsNot as good as the previous release but still excellent in its own rightMonuments (UK) GnosisNovelists NoirNovelists are putting their own almost jazzy spin on metalcore and I love itOutline In Color MasksOutline In Color StruggleWhile the instrumentation gets the job done, the real star of the show here is the song writing and vocal work. The way KC and Trevor work off of each other is some of the best I have heard from any band and the theme of struggling with life is well realized through what the two of them have to say. "I Will Struggle" and "Eat Your Heart Out" are personal favorites right now but the album as a whole is excellent from start to finish, although it could go without the beginning lead in and the softer "Something We Can Dance To" Polaris The Mortal CoilPolaris The Guilt & The GriefRain City Drive Beautiful DeathRain City Drive To Better DaysThe Color Morale We All Have DemonsThe Devil Wears Prada Transit BluesThe Ghost Inside The Ghost InsideThe Word Alive Real. This or the Apocalypse MonumentsThy Art Is Murder Dear DesolationVolumes No Sleep3.5 greatBlessthefall To Those Left BehindChiodos IlluminaudioCrown the Empire The Resistance: Rise of the RunawaysCurrents Life // LostDance Gavin Dance HappinessERRA Moments of ClarityHands Like Houses DissonantsIce Nine Kills Every Trick in the BookIn Fear and Faith In Fear and Faith In Fear and Faith ImperialNorthlane NodeNovelists SouvenirsParkway Drive AtlasRain City Drive Through Art We Are All EqualsThe Haarp Machine DisclosureThis or the Apocalypse Haunt What's LeftThy Art Is Murder Hate3.0 goodAlesana ConfessionsNeed to give a more in depth listen before rating, but from what I've heard Comatorium is spot on Edit: Not bad, but not that great either. Got some sparks of good things generally marred by some of the vocal performance and reliance on generic elements (aka breakdowns)August Burns Red LevelerBroadway Contexture: Gods, Men & The Infinite CosmosSome good songs scattered amongst some pretty bad songs, particularly a very bad acoustic song. Side note, I saw on an Instagram post that JT defended the direction the band is taking saying something along the lines of "Erra's deathcore days are finished." What a load of garbage. Shame to see how badly his screams are with Erra, the final album with Texas in July he did showed a bit of promise but oh well.
