Bob Dylan The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan
British India Thieves
I dig this album. Underrated. God is dead so meet the kids is a wonderful track. Brooding, Adolescent, Honest. You Will Die and Take is a great track to blast over your car stereo speakers. Golden Years closes the album nicely. rOnly track I dislike I think on this one is "this dance is loaded"
Paul Kelly Under The Sun
This album is sometimes stark and bland. But mostly it tells a straightforward, honest story. I love the nostalgic sound on here. There is a bit of everything on this album. A working man's story about the churning excitement of the working week / spiffing up for the weekend; some beautiful ballad's: Desdemona, Know Your Friends and Big Heart. What about "Bradman," Maybe only Australians and the British can appreciate this song but boy you have to appreciate the historical effort gone into the writing of the song. One of my favourite albums ever, even if a couple of the songs are a snooze fest.
Tame Impala Lonerism
The Black Keys Brothers
The Boxer Rebellion Union
Starts and finishes extremely strongly. falls away slightly in the second half. Because the first 4 tracks are so exceptional I haven't really had time for the rest of the LP. Listen to the EPIC build up in "Silent Movie" or the subtle beauty of the chorus in "Flashing Red Light Means go." rHow bout the genius of that cheeky drum intro in "Move on."rThis is still far and away the bands greatest album and can't wait what they move to next with their new guitarist. Fingers crossed for a release in 2015. If you think these guys are radiohead clones you are mistaken. Just hit play and lose yourself in this fucking majestic album

full review coming. Expect it to blow the socks off all the Sputnik big wigs. Or it will suck if I just half ass it. but it could be good. Main thing is this album is "Great"
The Drums Portamento
Seemingly a straightforward indie pop effort from the drums that grows on you with repeated listens. Very honest and does not pretend to be anything it's not. Aside from one weak track "In The Cold" the album is very consistent. The peak of this album for me is "Days." Probably the most simple, repetitive track on Portamento, but it just oozes charm, beauty and heartache. Can see why this thing would grind some peoples gears, but it right up my alley. Catchy, very catchy. For those aching hearts and romantics out there dive in.
The Preatures Blue Planet Eyes
Uplifting stuff. Reminds me of fleetwood mac. Listen to the lyrics there's more going on than you might think. Band chemistry amazing. Just pray to god these guys stay together

Joy Graves Awful Nature
Red Hot Chili Peppers Californication
Tame Impala Innerspeaker
The Vines Melodia
Violent Soho Hungry Ghost
Doesn't shy from it's influences. Raw, visceral and at times melodic alternative music. Unpretentious. Slightly unoriginal. Listen to the attack in the opening snare fill from "Dope Calypso" or the haunting catchy-ness of lyric: "Why does everything you say sound hollow?" from "In the Aisle." Commonly referred as being influenced by Nirvana, but I hear strong Smashing Pumpkins vibes here as well. Their strength is their simplicity, a certain direct brute force that makes you want to truly live in the moment and be young again.
