  • gabethepiratesquid and then there's the ScHoolboy Q, Grimes, and the Schlohmo EP

  • gabethepiratesquid Vinny Cha$e released a real nice mixtape at the beginning of this year that was really slept on with mostly original production, kind of makes me think of like if Juelz/Cam'ron made raps about how classy rich they were (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4vQID5kFeo) and Robb Bank$' mixtape that has a lot of beats from other stuff and he's part of the "druggy Southern" rap trend but he's just a really, really nice lyricist and the beats can be fantastic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_FsBVSwoHE)

  • gabethepiratesquid I hope so. And Starship is a really nice Summer song. I knowww! I was so disappointed by it because I was like, "Drake and Nas on the same track? That'll probably bring out the best of Drake" but nooo. And Young Jeezy needed a lozenge.

  • gabethepiratesquid Nuh uh, but I like Miguel so I'll check it out. And I think it's worth a listen at least. The first half is really weird and experimental and more rapping-focused (minus the song with Chris Brown which is so good) and the second half is Britney's Femme Fatale-esque electro pop rap, which has three good songs (Starship, Pound the Alarm, Whip It) and the rest are pretty generic except for Stupid Hoe.

  • gabethepiratesquid Yeah. I don't really care for his rapping a great deal but some people really dig ScHoolboy Q, so you might want to sample his new album because his beats are always amaaaaaaazing.
