High on Fire
Snakes For The Divine
A good and solid metal album. Matt Pike still amazes us with his guitar playing (especially the riffs). Drumming is heavy and stays consistent throughout. Bass is audible giving the album a little more depth and heaviness. Lyrics and themes stay true to High on Fire's past (very battle-like if you will). Biggest difference from some of the other albums is the production. Greg Fidelmann was able to get a job with Slayer and High on Fire after butchering Metallica's Death Magnetic... to make it even worse than it already was. The sound is loud and the vocals are way up front. Like I said, the drums are heavy and consistent ..but not as thundero
