Carpathian Forest We're Going to Hell for This - Over a Decade ...
I am a huge fan of darkthrone. and I happened to randomly stumble upon this abum and this band
hits all the same sweet spots musically that darkthrone does for me. but unlike darkthrone, this
is more rock and roll. hard to explain I know that darkthrone has its doomier moments. Anyways
this is a really killer compilation and a great way to do a deep dive into carpathian forests
catalog. I am now a fan of this band. 		4.5

Green Lung Woodland Rites
sounds like someone went back in time and kidnapped a garage band from the early seventies and set them down in a pro studio . its doom metal but more subtle and nuanced..the vocals are really melodic and clean and its still really heavy but in a obscure sevenities era metal band kind of way..but yeah really super solid riffing..i have been listening to this not stop since i got it and i never get bored listening to it. very layered melodies too and a lot of serious prog moments which i love..kind of hints of king crimson or ELP...		4.0

Earthride Vampire Circus
one of my very favorite doom metal bands. that tone..that just right tempo..those gravely fucking whisky and weed soaked vocals..sabbathian is a compliment. i hear saint vitus in there too..but this grinds much harder then vitus ..sounds a lot more gritty in a really good way. but yeah its like peanut butter and choclate that sludge and gravel combo. and the damn lyics i dig a lot..especially "vampire circus": which is a god damned smash hit if you ask me. 		4.5

Master On the Seventh Day God Created.... Master
super underrated old skool style thrash/death metal band. everything you want from classic death metal is there. everything is dialed in just right and totally on point. the double bass drum racket..the sludgy speed tempo guitars, the gutteral psuedo thrash metal vocals like older morbid angel sort of. a really solid album. 		4.0

Damad Burning Cold
good solid sludgy trudging crust . female vocalist has some good lungs and does a really good death metal style growl at points..plus great movie samples in there. the mix on ths is pretty good too for the genre..you can hear the details of the instruments pretty well. 		4.5
