	YOB Clearing The Path To Ascend By bringing out more of a sludge and post metal sound and adding subtle prog and classic rock influences YOB create their best album in years. Easy contender for AOTY!	5.0 08.21.14

	Voivod Target Earth Yes this will be the comeback of the year. Voivod return to their classic progressive thrash sound while still retaining that modern metal sound they had on their previous three releases. Warchaic owns every song I've heard so far thus year.	4.5 01.09.13
	Alcest Les Voyages De L'Âme Alcest basically perfected the sound, they've been working on since their debut EP. Everything is extremely lean and tight, the black metal moments seamlessly flowing with the shoegazing ethereal parts.	4.5 01.03.12
