  • Cygnatti but yeah, i definitely get what you mean. but he honestly might take it quite a bit further since he's highly religious after this and even becomes involved in some dubious cult activity!! talk about over-compensation! 'i'm a lost, godless fool whom thought himself too high too steel... i might seek redemption by any means...' - and yet, i still can't help but feel for the guy. that's how you know they're a good musician lmao.

  • Cygnatti i'm personally impressed at how many musical worlds that psychedelia opened up: heavy metal (from heavy psych), prog rock and experimental rock (from psych rock), shoegaze/noise pop/dream pop (all from psych rock neo-psych), and so forth. but i didn't think that arguably the first modern "electronic" band ever would also be psychedelic (rock)!!

  • Cygnatti i think the "blunt" approach is very well but the heavy-handed degree it's done on this song should only be done sparingly so that it has more effect. reading into things here, but i can imagine he's averse to the symbolism and imagination (like psychedelia often incorporates) considering, well everything... wouldn't u think?

  • Cygnatti it's an album opener, the rest of the album isn't quite as heavy and really does flesh out his character (lol!) and his story. btw i got another one for you since i missed last months entry ;)

  • Cygnatti it's definitely quite the downer, but i think it's really powerful. the lyrics aren't the best but he sounds so devastated... hope you dig it!!
