Defiance, Ohio The Great Depression
The realistic optimism that is Defiance, Ohio is spotlighted in the song "Calling Old Friends". The Song Starts out with a slower calming entry whose lyrics in a way sum up the entire song, and then picks up the pace. What I love about the song -even the band in general--is that they sing about things that matter. When I'm listening to music I want to feel like I'm learning someone’s opinion, and gaining new perspective. Also, I believe (some don't), that it sounds incredible. In the song there are two vocalists; a male and a female, two violinists, an upright bass, an electric guitar, and a simplistic drum kit. Although I have been tol
