A lot of potential here, but it unfortunately falls into generic territory when, instead of relying on the melodic that allows them an almost transcendental sound, devolution into mindless breakdowns happens. While groups like Heart In Hand or While She Sleeps fuse the heavy and the melodic to great results, A Call To Sincerity creates an awkward schism between the two. But, like I said, there is potential.

On paper, this should suck so bad. I hated their debut EP so much, and this has the same qualities: deathcore chugs, hardcore drums, okay vocals, production quality that disallows any melody, etc. But there's a quality about it that I can't quite explain...

|Gameofmetal I still hold that they're pretty melodic hardcore. I didn't really notice any of the djenty tone but I wouldn't be too surprised since that's all the craze in metalcore and hardcore these days. I also wouldn't say they're too heavy for melodic hardcore when you consider the Ghost Inside and For The Fallen Dreams who are labeled the same but have a very heavy side to their sound. Also the vocalist has that mid ranged passionate yell/scream going which is the basis for a good melo hardcore singer.|
