geasoftime You probably encountered it reading The Wheel of Time. If not, it was originally a Japanese proverb that read "Death is lighter than a feather, duty is heavier than a mountain." I altered it to make in more appropriate to the situation, since he had been fighting the illness so long. I don't know why I really typed it - it just popped into my head when I read the news.
