Unearth Watchers of Rule
I had pretty much lost faith in these guys after the last couple albums but holy shit did
the go all out on this one. This might be the best album they've released. This shit is
filled to the brim with incredible musicianship, skull-crushing breakdowns, and beastly
vocals from Trevor. Every member is in top form here especially the drummer Nick. Wow is
this guy a MACHINE! This record made me eat my words and totally made me realize why I
fell in love with these guys nearly 10 years ago. Unearth is back and better than ever;
ready to demolish your face.
Linkin Park The Hunting Party
I Killed The Prom Queen Beloved
This album kicks ass. Totally well executed metalcore, reminds me of when i was a kid listening to shit like It Dies Today and Still Remains. If you hate this, you hate fun metal. No it is not original, but it's excellent and I dare you to find me a better recent metalcore record outside of the new Misery Signals.
Structures Life Through a Window
HRVRD The Inevitable And I
I personally love this album. From the incredibly chill atmosphere the music creates, to the beautiful vocals, to the cohesive nature of the experience. Catchy and passionate alternative post-hardcore. A bit long but not lacking in quality, The Inevitable and I is an hour you won't regret checking out.
The Offspring Splinter
The Offspring are a band I will always love for nostalgic reasons. Amercana was one of the
first cds I bought as a kid. Unfortunately that was these guy's last great album. They
truly have gotten shittier and shittier. This album is really where the band started to
show serious signs of age. A punkier album overall mixed with the usual straight forward
rockers, and a couple silly(albeit pretty bad) tracks. Nothing fantastic to be found here,
but not bad. As a fan for as long as I can remember, I can safely say that anything past
Conspiracy of One is not worth your time. Really I would just stick
No Consequence IO
Very good album. Definitely a grower for me. Not as immediate as ITSOTG, but totally worthwile when fully digested. I think these guys have a bit more originality than most tech-core-whatever bands. Curious to see what these guys will do in the future.
