3.0 good | Britch2tiger | November 28th 15 | Aside from Lakini's Juice, there's nothing really outstanding about this album as a whole, which is really depressing... There are tracks that have sections worth noting, such as tracks 6, 9, and 12; but this is a huge step back from their sophomore album. Mental Jewelry at least had 4 solid tracks from the very beginning, but this album just bewilders me: where the hell did all the energy go? Again, aside from track 2 (mentioned above) the lead reserved his voice for nearly the entire album which was one of the star features about this band's sound... Come on, Ed... You're better than this...

2.5 average | CrazyFool84 | December 10th 09 | Secret Samadi has a feeling of a band that enjoyed much radio-friendly made possible success with Throwing Copper, and wanted to prove they could do something deeper and darker. While the latter may be fitting for some of the albums melody, the record really isn't all that deep (Ed's lyrics seem to take a serious downturn here). This album still had it's chance at radio-play and accessibility in that respect with songs like Lakini's Juice and Turn My Head, but failed to make good on them. Lakini's Juice made me go out and by this when it came out in 97, though I was and still am pretty disappointed with the remainder of the album.

4.0 excellent | MassiveAttack | February 19th 07 | A very underrated album produced by a air friendly effort before called Throwing Copper, an immensely successful album both on radioplay and music videos. This album is much darker then previous and future efforts and to me this is my favorite Live album in their collection, right ahead of Throwing Copper. Very underrated and unappreciated because of lack of support on the radio, unlike Throwing Copper, this album is not at all radio friendly.
