This band is incredible. They don't really stray from their formula at all, yet they somehow manage to churn out amazing after amazing music. The use of pinch harmonics on this EP specifically is truly noteworthy, and so effective. Similarly the string arrangement on Illumination is super cool.

After two decades of being together, Immolation continues to assert their dominance over the music they create and show that they can bring melody to a genre that is usually reliant on sheer technicality and pull it off quite well, however nothing on the EP is groundbreaking, and some if it sounds too similar to previous works, nevertheless, the speed and intricate technicality one would expect from this genre is most surely present in this work.
