Spineshank's second album was somewhat of a breakthrough, both in terms of popularity and artistic value. The band ditched the sub-Deftones churn that populated their first album to take on a sound that is roughly akin to a feistier Powerman 5000 or Static-X. The first thing that is noticeable is how much more aggressive the band is here. The band drives along with considerable power that is only heightened by a fiery, committed vocal performance from Jonny Santos. The band also shows an increasing grasp of melody with some well executed Fear Factory-esque clean vocal passages. While there are are weak spots on here, this album represents a major step forward for a band coming off such a limp debut.

I unashamedly LOVE this album. Sheer industrial-influenced, nu metal perfection. Johnny Santos is an absolute beast of a vocalist.

Ladies and gentlemen, I found another beginner's industrial album. The vocals are not too abrasive but the instrumentation exudes an aggression like that of Godsmack w/ hints of industrial-esque electronica. If you don't think Edgewater is heavy enough, then this is an album that might interest you. Some sections even sound better than some tracks from Static-X's Wisconsin Death Trip.

Much of the album falls into an indecisive mess with approaches to provide a disorienting edge almost always coming off as overdone and unnecessary. A couple catchy parts make their way into the early part but there's next to nothing truly note-worthy or recommendable about the album.
