It seems that time will never wore off the grandeur of this majestic album,brought by one of the world's biggest bands.A Night at the Opera comfortably shits on every music label,giving us some of the best music to be heard in the last decades."39" is a moody masterpiece,"Death on two legs" is what Savatage based their whole career on,"You're my best friend" is mellow and beautiful,"I'm in love with my car" is proudly sarcastic and "Bohemian Rhapsody" is flawlessness.You simply can't ask for more.

An all-around fantastic album. I understand that the fact that many people of the younger persuasion find such "old" music truly a chore to listen to... and that is disappointing, but I understand. For those of us who can stand (and even enjoy!) 70/80's music, this is without a doubt a crowning point of brilliance. Every song is memorable, every song is full of emotion... just by hearing the inflection in Freddie's voice you can tell that every single person involved in the forging of this masterpiece couldn't help but love the work they were doing! Hearing this it's obvious to see why the 80's happened, and not a single one of them could hope to copy something as magnificent as this. Also, for those who still need a reason? Umm.... it has f**king BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY!!! That makes it an immediate 5/5. 5.0/5

Queen's magnum opus, 'A Night at the Opera', showcases the variety Queen has to offer in its best possible way. Not only does it contain the classic "Bohemian Rhapsody", which is arguably Queen's greatest achievement, but it also contains some of Queen's other underrated classics, such as "Death on Two Legs (Dedicated to...)", "'39", "The Prophet's Song", and "Love of My Life". The best Queen album that contains probably one of the best rock songs of all time. Queen have never been one of the more consistent bands, but this is a progressive masterpiece that is deservedly called one of the best classic rock records of all time.

Holy sweet God! I am at loss at any other words. Queen is one of the most remarkable bands of all time if not "The". This is their best work a perfect Magnus Opus.

This is the greatest album. Ever. Words can't come close to summing up this piece of mastery - let alone go into how amazing, influential and special this album is. Go listen to it. Then you'll see what I mean.

Queen's "A Night at the Opera" is rock the way it was meant to be. From it's opening notes to the end of God Save the Queen, this album is nothing short of amazing. The vocals on the album are jaw dropping, and Freddie Mercury was at his vocal prime during the recording of this album. He often reaches into his upper register to deliver an angelic falsetto, which takes the music to a whole new level. He natural baritone is also a nice addition to the mix, and when he makes use of the two together in the same song, there are amazing results (i.e. Bohemian Rhapsody). His bandmates also contribute backing vocals, which are very well done. Brian May's guitar work is great, and his solos always seem to suite the respective songs. His tone is classic, and even though some make think it thin and tinny, I see it as part of the sound that has helped to define Queen. The rhythm section on this album (Roger Taylor and John Deacon) is very solid, and even though they never do anything over top and jaw dropping, they create a nice wall of sound on which the guitars and melodies can flourish. On certain occasions (You're My Best Freind) the bass also contributes excellent melodies which add to the overall catchiness of the songs. In short, A Night at the Opera is a classic album full of classic songs. This album is strongly reccomended for any fan of Queen, rock, or anyone looking for excellent music. Go buy this. Now.
