Beach House has perfected their lush, dream synth pop style on this record. Victoria's soaring vocals are even more remarkable, and while Beach House still has the slight problem of failing to create variety in their tracks, the sound created is so pleasing that it is not an irritating task to dig in order to find the uniqueness among each song. "Walk In The Park," is the band's best moment thus far.

I want to like this more because 'Silver Soul' and 'Used To Be' are two of my favorite songs, but there are just so many blah tracks on here. Too bad.

My first Beach House record and it was an enjoyable listen but forgettable. The musicianship is great and the girl has a great voice but overall nothing really stood out too much for me.

Dreamy aesthetics and skillful melodies? Sultry beats and lightweight, soaring vocals that are bound to get the best of the listener? Teen Dream sounds exactly like what 2010 needed to counterbalance the weight that heavy-hitters like Dangers, Sed Non Satiata, or even Ghastly City Sleep put on our shoulders. With textures galore, Beach House take shoegaze, dream pop, whatever you’d like to call it, influences to a new level of catchiness with the likes of “Norway” and “Walk In the Park,” among others. Some listeners might feel a little guilty indulging in tunes that at first may sound a little better suited in an Urban Outfitters or Starbucks than in the Top 10 of ’10 list, but the rich display of adeptness and sincere charm that exude from Beach House’s latest proves that it fits right in among the year’s best.

I think that only me and everyone else at Merriweather Post Pavilion on 9/11/10 have experienced Beach House as they are meant to be... on the lawn, starry night, laying back, enjoying the sounds. Tell me that doesn't sound perfect. Animal Collective my ass.

Teen Dream: an album that could've been excellent but was only good. My reasoning: the first half of the album gorgeous and memorable, and the second half is a boring retread of the first half. It's like Beach House just ran out of ideas.
