Spoon are a consistent band. They make good albums. Nobody agrees on "how good" or which consistently good album is the best. But they're all good. This is also good. Certainly as good as Transference, likely as good as Gimme Fiction. But I am consistently wrong, so idk?

Typically Spoon, Lucifer on the Sofa features their restrained groove led by offbeat rhythms in an indie rock manner that's more rock than indie this time - with a dash of blues! Consistent band is consistent, even though these songs weren't the most *woah* in their catalog.

Spoon's tenth studio album, Lucifer On The Sofa, is perspectively a very good album of 2022. Despite the forgettable songs off that album, the band definitely had a couple highlights and great details into their instruments, coming from this mellow sounding to an bitter of a upbeat rock sound from majority of the album. There's not much to say about this album other than the great instrumental detail onto the project. In conclusion, I'd give the album a 3 out of 5. It's definitely not the BEST album of the discography but it is a good one!
