0.0 | keysofanxiety | October 13th 09 | The first movement of this is emotional and heart wrenching. The second, a shock- quite happy and uplifting.
The third- $%^#@()_ amazing. Absolutely mind blowing. The most mindblowing journey, over those legendary arpeggios and face-meltingly quick scales.
It's absolutely incredible. Beethoven was a total genious.

5.0 classic | toxin. | March 23rd 13 | Literally, is there anything more iconic than Moonlight Sonata? Listening to this on Lake Lucurne (from where Moonlight Sonata's name owes its existence) is just surreal. I was only ten when it happened and I still remember thinking how perfect the title was.

4.0 excellent | Ossacip Olbap | March 13th 22 | gentle, dark, translucent, one of the first things you'll ever learn to play on piano culminating into the bombastic fury of the 3rd movement, the moonlight sonata will be played long after all the terrible shit you currently listen to and if you dont like it you're deafer than beethoven ever was

4.5 superb | BillyBrill | February 28th 22 | Ignore the rest of what I said about Beethoven (not as good as people say), he PROVES himself here, could probably be a 5 but because I'm hesitant about it it'll be a 4.5 for now. It's by far the most emotional music I've heard from him, Moonlight Sonata will just club your feet out from under you, and the third movement honestly goes harder than your average thrash band and he was doin this 200 years ago. Go off Ludwig

4.5 superb | charlopiano | May 11th 21 | rMoonlight Sonata is very good. It takes a simple piano bit and builds it up over each of its parts. It can go from very soothing, to quite intense and that evolution works really well. With the image of the moon. But upon revisiting it, I found myself thinking that the piece was just way too short. I actually think it would work better as a piano concerto maybe, that would last longer than 15 minutes. So it?s actually a insult compliment that I?m saying. It?s great and I wished we had more.r

4.0 excellent | GamamJ | March 7th 20 | The fordt movement is a hauntingly beautiful slow intro whoch would have perfectly segmented into what might just be the greatest movement ever written, at least for solo-piano. HOWEVER, out of nowhere one gets thrown into a seemingly pointless upbeat Allegretto that feels entirely out of place, whether key or style-wise. No idea what Beethoven was thinking there, but the other two movements are amazing, so a 4 is still deserved.

5.0 classic | TRMshadow | September 1st 12 | Truly fantastic piano work from the man who defined the term "classical music" for many people. The only low point of this work of art is the Allegretto of the "Moonlight" sonata, but every other second in these two piano sonatas more than makes up for it. Absolutely beautiful in every way. 5.0/5
