3.5 great | RivalSkoomaDealer | October 4th 18 | A return to form for Coheed after a slew of disappointing albums (at least for long-time fans). This album sounds like if you took the ideas from Black Rainbow and sprinkled in some of the best bits of No World. Don't let the horrendous album cover fool you: Coheed have returned. Hopefully they can keep this momentum going for the next installments.

4.5 superb | Stormy Smiley Face | July 13th 18 | Two lead singles that pick up musically where Good Apollo once left off rsignal a return to form for the modern Prog rockers. One prog banger and one relectronically led upbeat anthem along with the classic piano intro! The rchances of past fans being let down seem slim to none for this new chapter of rthe og Coheed.

0.0 | Gurfunkel | July 2nd 18 | The title track is just way too cheesy for me. The
song just feels so flat and beige from start to
finish.Lets just agree on the fact that you cant
build a chorus around the line "son of a gun".
Only Arnold can pull that one of a still be
awsome.
If the album follows the same line as this the
album will lick the floors of my score.

4.0 excellent | DethMetal9000 | October 6th 18 | Great return to form. Possibly their best sounding album in years. I love the addition of synth and keyboards into the mix, it gives the album a ?spacey? vibe that really fits the story. I think a few more listens may bring my score up higher.

4.5 superb | hybridreality | October 5th 18 | A return to form after the break from the concept on TCBTS. The range of genres throughout the album alone makes it worth a listen.

4.0 excellent | Stackmaster | October 4th 18 | An absolute return to form from a band I thought I might never see achieve their potential again. I?m absolutely rgiddy listening to the energy and creativity present in these songs after what feels like so long.

3.5 great | Brabiz | December 1st 22 | Coheed is a band who will consistently have one of the most endearing, passionate songs ever, then break into a woah-oh chorus and kill everything I was pumped up about, and then I put on something else. Band is fucking frustrating, man

3.0 good | tellah | May 19th 21 | I have to admit, I really didn't like this album at first. I REALLY REALLY want to love
this album like many others do. I was hyped when The Dark Sentencer and Unheavenly
Creatures came out because it harkened back to the Good Apollo/Afterman albums. Those are
two great songs that open up the album. Unfortunately, you don't get much more past that
other than a smattering of catchy mid-tempo Coheed tunes (True Ugly, The Gutter, All On
Fire). There is also a couple of duds on this album (Toys, Queen of the Dark). This has
the paint-job of a classic Coheed album, and a bunch of songs that range from good to
great. However, there's none of the inner workings that made the first 4 albums (and the
Afterman to a lesser extent) such great albums. There's no suite of long-form progressive
songs with great instrumentals. There isn't really any stand-out pop tracks like A Favor
House Atlantic, The Suffering, or Feathers. They mostly ALL are mid-tempo pop songs with
occasional progressive elements across its bloated 15-track runtime. The songs don't
really seem to follow a concept or are ordered with any real care. There are a lot of
positives though, Lucky Stars is a nice enough ballad, All On Fire is probably the
closest we'll get to the magic captured on Good Apollo 1, and the mix on this album is
quite good. This functions mostly as a playlist of solid Coheed songs.
Top 3 Tracks
1) The Dark Sentencer
2) All On Fire
3) Unheavenly Creatures

3.0 good | Nomos2 | October 8th 18 | Weird one. While I feel like overall it's an improvement over the YOTBR/Afterman 1+2/Color Before the Sun run, those records also had some more standout catchy classic Coheed tracks on them. The consistency and tone is improved here, but it's all been smoothed out over a homogeneous record that never explicitly offends, but also never really impresses. Four listens later it still feels overlong and has too few catchy choruses and too many weak lyrical moments. It's....fine.

3.0 good | Dissonant | October 6th 18 | Certainly better than their last abomination, but not as strong and memorable as their earlier albums. Few tracks here tend to drag along and some hardly stand out. Overall though it's a much better sounding record than their last one but it's not amazing or anything.

2.5 average | ShadowNeko | October 4th 18 | What a huge disappointment. This album lacks the intense riffs, sinister lyrics, and melodic
vocals Coheed are known famous for. On almost every song it's just led into a cheesy chorus with
absurd weak lyrics instead of killer guitar solos. What a joke.
Don't even waste your time with this one. Just go listen to the first 3 albums and you'll hear the
true power of Coheed and Cambria.
