With infectious riffs, slightly strained vocals, blatantly applicable lyricism and great instrumental synchronization, The Offspring have created an album that inspired a generation through both its flaws and success in multiple areas.
Quite simple, this was the first cd of a band I ever owned and more importantly, the first rock cd I ever owned. This cd was the catalyst that first made me want to pick up a guitar. Just from listening to "The Kids Aren't Alright" hearing a song that got me so pumped and excited and interested, just because of a guitar riff. Not only because of that, but these songs seem like some of the best that The Offspring have ever released to the date of this cd.
