| 5.0 classic | Nick Butler STAFF | June 26th 06 | It's my favourite album ever. It has been since the day I heard it, too. Let's be honest - you might have to go back as far as Sgt. Peppers to find a record that's accumulated the level of critical acclaim this one has. Maybe it doesn't quite deserve all of that, but I'm far from the only one who thinks this is the best album of the 90s. It's a singular idea perfected - a view of the future as a sterile hell powered by soul-less technological advancement. Every song is brilliant - "Climing Up The Walls" terrifies, "Fitter Happier" creeps, "Lucky" swirls, "Electioneering" rocks, "No Surprises" sooth, and "Karma Police" is even capable of raising a laugh. And "Paranoid Android"? All of the above. Perfect.

| 5.0 classic | Waior | January 6th 10 | The belief that Radiohead had made at least one classic album in their ongoing careers is a popular one - in most cases, the album in question is OK Computer. Whilst each and every album following OK Computer can be argued to be just as brilliant (yes, even Hail to the Thief), OK... has time and time again proven itself to be the quintessential Radiohead album in every sense - coincidentally, it's also likely the best album the 1990's managed to see released.

| 5.0 classic | Lilley | April 9th 08 | This is an absolutely fantastic album that grows on me every time I listen to it. To all of you up there who gave it less than 5 stars you either haven't listened to it enough, or you are a philistine. One problem though, I think Electioneering is a fantastic, 5 star song, like an even better version of Just. And to wrakneelyo, please stop with the unfair comparisons to Muse. Muse are a fantastic band, my favourite along with Radiohead, even if I can't call them as great. If you listened to half of their music without that prejudice you'd realise that too, and how far they've moved away from the album that got them the "Radiohead tribute band" label, Showbiz.

There were some good artists i heard in the mix here and there, but on the hole, my taste was just shit. Enter Sputnik, and their harsh but truthful and wise fanbase. i was just getting into the website, didn't had an account, exploring the wanders of this little eye-opener website, passed on to the charts, clicked on "alt/indie" and "all time", and then, i saw it: OKC, standing proudly on top of the list. i said "i wonder how many votes it has in it's scores... i bet it's not much" it turns out it had over 4000 votes with an average score of 4.6, and i said "Holy FUCK, i can't.... i need to check this out", and so i did, and my music views were never the same again. There is literally nothing i can say that hasn't been said already, and MAAYBE it doesn't deserve all the hype around it, but let's be honest - absolutely NO album in the whole world could possibly leave up to the amount of praise that this album gets(that's pretty subjective, though). Remove the hype, however, and you still find yourself in front of a masterpiece, that, similar to how some albums are a good reason for why someone would like a genre, this album is a good example as to why you would like MUSIC - atmosphere, intelligence, experimentation, epic feel, etc, but above all - Good Music.

Yes, Skynet as in The Terminator. On OK Computer, there's a process in the world going on, making it more and more electronical than it used to be. This record tells this story in a hard-hitting, beautiful and stunning way. The best tracks are Paranoid Android, Exit Music (For a Film) and Electroneering (with "Fitter Happier" just before it).

Don't get me wrong I found this album to be quite enjoyable and I do recognize the obvious impact this band has had on music, but I guess I'm just not seeing what everybody else sees in them. It could possibly be because I'm a little late on listening to them or the hype got to me or whatever, but all in all they are not what I expected them to be.
Bump |
| 5.0 classic | Crimson Death | May 2nd 11 | Revolutionary release with memorable and distinct melodies. Though this album may not be as technically advanced as it's successor, Radiohead managed to make the best of the simple alternative rock style. Though the "simple" I speak of is only with respect to Radiohead's later releases. Within its own genre the album is still technically superior to most. Thomas Yorke's sophisticated tenor vocals are delivered in a smooth and crisp manner. Transitions between notes are impeccable and the vocal runs are as smooth as butter. Rarely does a tenor have such a resonant and full tone, which is highlighted during the natural vocal fades.

| 3.0 good | aemaeth | September 17th 10 | My initial rating for this was much much lower, but with it apparently being such an amazing album I had to give it the benefit of the doubt and give it another listen, and indeed I have begun to see some of the things that so many people apparently think are amazing. While the style is not in the slightest anything I particularly enjoy, there is something in them to appreciate. This album is very different, and how it hits you is somewhat unsettling, which is in part why I have begun to like it. That being said this music is not my style at all, and Yorke's vocals are generally off putting I feel. But, and the main reason I have given it the rating I have, is that it is a very hard listen, and, by the time I reached the end, I found very little appeal in going back and listening to the entire album. That thought automatically lowers the score for me and gives me a sense that this album is, to an extent, overrated.

Fitter, Happier will never be written by another band for the rest of time, and it's just one of the moments on here which seems so removed from anything offered elsewhere that it's almost alien. At the very least, it's breathtaking.

| 4.0 excellent | Aellyn | January 23rd 09 | I can still remember the first time hearing the unique sounds and vibes -- the way it was the first cd of its kind to ever really make me understand that there are other genres out there besides metal.. Radiohead was the tip to all my interests in other vaues in music...

| 4.5 superb | red0 | November 30th 08 | Radiohead danced with modern paranoia on OK Computer, a seemingly multi-faced affair that goes soft, loud, and paranoid all at once without ever sounding trite. Yorke's vocals wail behind Greenwood's flairing guitar and corky synthesizers, making a truly enveloping album-and showing a bit of what was to come with Kid A.

| 5.0 classic | Liam Whear | November 12th 08 | So powerful it really does hit you at your core. If this is what it feels like in 2011, imagine what the world thought listening to this in 1997. It's almost terrifying

| 4.5 superb | Dan Keyes | November 11th 08 | Most likely a product of the ridiculous hype surrounding this album, my first few listens left me quite unsatisfied with OK Computer. I was impressed by a few tracks, but the album didn't quite make the impression I had expected. Every time I listened, though, I found a new track I had missed recognizing as a solid track the previous time around. Where did that leave me? Over the course of a month, my rating for OK Computer slowly climbed from a 3 to its current standing as a 4.5. It took time and an open mind, but I now view OK Computer as Radiohead's second greatest album, one of the top alternative records of all time, and, most surprisingly, capable of living up to the tremendous hype.

| 5.0 classic | AggravatedYeti | December 5th 07 | To say that this is 'a classic' is understated, 'OK Computer' is the most essential record of the 1990s. It's easily in contention for the best piece of music I've ever heard and no matter how many times I listen to it, it hits me the same way. 'Airbag', 'Paranoid Android' & 'Subterranean Homesick Alien', are all fucking amazing. 'Climbing Up The Walls' may be the scariest pretty song I've ever heard while, 'No Surprises' & 'Exit Music' are some of the most beautiful. Plus there's really no better closer than 'The Tourist'. Radiohead achieved something really special here, and no matter how close they've come, can't seem to quite match it. But thats fine, might just be better that way.

| 5.0 classic | Jorn van Schaïk | November 1st 07 | This album is a classic of the 90s, for the simple reason that every song on here is amazing. The album revels in a sense of claustrophobia and angst, and even the interlude of Fitter Happier is a testament to the alienation present on the record. It personifies this, no doubt inspiring many that felt the same to pick up a guitar and write tunes. Radiohead would go gaga after this, experimenting with electronica, jazz, and other madness, but this stands as their most "tuneful" album, and where they got the mix between oddball synth influences, plain old guitar rock and bleak thematicism completely right. This isn't heralded as the best album of the 90s for nothing.

| 4.5 superb | Ambassador | October 24th 07 | This album is like listening to a dream. OK Computer lets its listeners lose themselves in a world of haunting electronic tranquility, while maintaining a melodic folky accessibility. Some of the greatest sounds I've ever heard come not only from this album, but from Radiohead as a band.
Very innovative. Two thumbs up!

| 5.0 classic | blacklistadapted | October 8th 07 | Absolutely my favorite Radiohead album to-date. Ok Computer raised the bar for alternative/progressive music in the 90's, and it's been a standard for and inspiration to musicians and music fans ever since. Every track is memorable, original, and catchy, all the while evading the cliche and the overdone. Great musicianship, unforgettable melodies and refreshing variety are all incorporated into a smoothly flowing, classic album by Radiohead.

| 5.0 classic | Theo H. | September 22nd 07 | 10 years on, this album is still as classic as it ever was. there's not much that I can say, that hasn't been said before. While this isn't a concept album, there is still that persistent mood of resignation and depression throughout. Maybe that's one of the reasons why this album is so enjoyable, even if that does sound contradictory. Thom Yorke's voice can do pretty much anything, and he shows it on this album more, I think, than any other Radiohead album. Climbing Up The Walls still creeps the hell out of me, Let Down still moves me to tears for some inexplicable reason just for Lucky to bring my smile back. All this after 10 years.

| 5.0 classic | bdizfoshiz | November 16th 06 | Every track on this album is absolutely amazing in every sense of the word. Well, maybe except for Fitter Happier, but that track is still awesome. The first time I heard this album I couldn't believe my ears. I was in a trance for hours afterward. Could an album possibly be this good? As far as the best album of the 90's goes. It's a toss up between this one and Elliott Smith's "Either/Or."

| 5.0 classic | Adrien Muise | September 2nd 06 | The album where Radiohead perfected the alt rock sound, and hit a level of respect few bands get a chance to hold. The album does not have a throw away track, and is more then worth the price tag to anyone out there, not just alt rock or pop rock fans but any music fan in general. This album is a must in any music collection.
