This is even worse than Discoveries. So many pointless breakdowns, bad cleans, and overall miss on an attempt at creating atmosphere. However, many core kids are jizzing themselves with this release when it's not much different from other bands of the genre. Did some idiot just call this prog-metal? Yup, wow

It leaked, not 320 KBPS so I'm tempted to wait to hear it, but it's out there.rEdit: Gone through three times now. I like it more than Discoveries. They stumble a little rbut here and there but overall it's a fantastic album. Tons of atmosphere, and a great rperformance from every member of the band.

Not as good as Discoveries, but still a solid album. The one/two punch of Windbreaker and Worldeater is one the band's strongest moments on record and despite Masquerade having some uninspired lyrics, it's catchy as hell.

Song-writing has improved since Discoveries, however the clean vocals have taken a major hit and are featured more frequently then they were in previous material. Overall, though, a solid step in the right direction for this band.

After my overly-hyped anticipation for this release I can't help but feel let-down. While rthe album didn't necessarily amount to what I had hoped for, as an album it does blend rbetter than 'Discoveries', and sets up a wholesome atmospheric feel to which every great ralbum needs. Some may find this album eerily reminiscent of Architects 'Daybreaker', and rgiven the subject matter and release date of the two it most likely had influence on the rmaking of this album. Overall I give it a 3.5.. though I am tempted to give it a rating rwhich is a little bit higher solely based on the awesomeness of Terrence Mckenna.

The last remnant of the old, hard Northlane. Kinda generic but has that cool spacey undertone that was pushed further with Node. It's a little more simplistic than Mesmer, but packs a lot more energy to it.

Northlane has always been in evidence. Their creativity and the progressive elements always been the strong point of the band. "Singularity" is a record that presents more positive aspects like great lyrics and elaborate transitions, than minor flaws like overproduction.

Heartfelt lyrics, sent forth within a scorching blaze of energy. Themes such as religion/belief, hypocrisy, corruption and fear run rampant throughout the album. What makes this collection so great for me is the hopeful message that runs underneath all the chaos, rendering the album's message a life-affirming one.

A little bit too many breakdowns in this. But there are spots where the guitarists really shine. It was entertaining at least. Gotta say I don't really dig how LOW the guitars go in this. I prefer if it was a step higher. Just me I guess.

Northlane manages to pull off an album better than their debut and push the progressive-metalcore genre forward. Without the fantastic vocal performance of Adrian this would be a 4. However, the lyrical content and the tone of his voice add a completely new dimension to the album and propel it to a 4.5. rA definite listen if you are into the Prog-Metal genre.
