| xVision well I've been digging pop-punk recently, surprisingly... bands like Misser, Transit or The Wonder Years, I'm liking it, and yeah TWFM definitely is amazing. I love the new Deafheaven though, I saw you gave it a 3, you don't like it? after 2-3 listens its a 4-4.5 for me!

It is decidedly the most interesting field. It is human centric and concerned with the what, how, when, why of human behavior.

| ThunderNeutral21 yeah i adore them. i have one 5 one 4.5 a bunch of 4's and the rest besides their debut are 3-3.5's, i dont know many bands like that where i like most of their discog that much. this is easily the worst neurosis album since before souls at zero.

 | Tyrael Yeah I definitely wasn't expecting this. It sounds so differently from their other work so it's quite hard to compare. But yes it definitely rules and I think it can certainly stand proudly along side BtBaM's best work.

 | NeutralThunder12 nah in the end its a 4.5 honestly. It seems as though the averages of the eps add up to abt a 4 but the things i didnt like are growing and its easily a solid 4.5. Really amazing work all the way through, with the exception of 1 or 2 eps and another few songs. But besides that its just like 30 insanely epic and diverse tracks with great songwriting/melodies AND great experimentation. whats also notable is it doesn't get tedious or repetitive because every EP has a different theme/style. Love it

| NeutralThunder12 well.....yeah. I heard the best of colour spectrum didnt feature the best songs....so im tackling the whole thing. Overall I gotta say. Its ****ing diverse as ****. Like omg. Casey ****s around with a different theme/genre on each EP. Weird thing, its not like always OMFG OMFG OMFG AMAZING but the genre experiments and attempts and channeling other genres into their sound ALWAYS works. Its really consistent too. Very, very diverse, so many things going on.

| Tyrael It's got more of a melodic feel than their previous albums but it still takes a feel listens to really sink in. It's definitely better than their last 3 releases. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised with the new drummer, his performance is really solid. I think you'll enjoy it :]

| Hawks Embers is amazing. The new Peste Noire is their most experimental album yet and it's pretty weird. Seems to be very hit or miss for a lot of people. I loved it though.

| Hawks Well their newest is the same exact thing as their 2010 Tour CD-R, so it's not really new haha. But the Embers album is still my favorite black metal so far this year with Primordial, Peste Noire, and Ash Borer not too far behind.

| balcaen yeah, though it's nice even that i envision myself ever actually LIKING black metal, ie listening to it on my own time. moreso, i just want to appreciate it for critical reasons. there are a few genres (ie: hardcore, punk) that i wouldn't consider 'my thing' yet i can still talk about them as genres without personal bias. i've noticed that i only like bm when it's laced with some other genre (hardcore, post-rock, etc), so there must be something about it that i've missing. heh.

| Crysis It's sort of transcended making fun of you personally I think- it moved beyond that a while ago. Some of these things are now sort of in the realm of all-time funniest sputnik moments (which a few of them I would say have made me laugh harder then anything else here), but not many people really still truly troll you over it. I look at it in regards to the lulz, not to make fun of you or whatever, so I don't really think there's any hard feelings (at least not from me).

| Hawks I would say definitely listen to Raekwon's new album. Also can't go wrong with classic such as The Infamous by Mobb Deep, Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) by Wu-Tang Clan, Liquid Swords by GZA, Soul Food by Goodie Mob, Ready to Die by Notorious B.I.G. My personal favorite is The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem. Just give some of those a shot.

| NeutralThunder12 its sooooo amazing. Not quite the structure of BTBAM (though its does every once and a while), but in terms of experimentation? Absolutely. THe last song is an epic of 4 minutes of song, a 4 minute interlude and the rest is a wall of giant noise

Funny thing though, never listened to Jupiter in full as an album (though Ive heard every individual song) and its amazing amazing amazing, definitely a 4.5 and it may grow to a 5. Get "Until Your Heart Stops" from their metalcore days too, the only metalcore albums better are Silent Circus and Jane Doe. Best band Ive found since mewithoutYou months ago
