| GodLovesUgly Yea I noticed his discography is massive, a lot more awesome material awaits.
| GodLovesUgly Yea man I've known of Screw for a while now, I started really getting into Southern Hip Hop about 10 years ago or so. Yet after knowing of Screw for that long it was only now that I actually gave a couple of his records a spin and I'm amazed, also shocked that it took me this long. He was a clever man, the production is superb all the way through, just the whole sounds and unique atmosphere he created is something truly unique and yes I want to hear more, he's still overlooked.

| zakalwe Selling out is anathema to why bands start in the first place. Nobodies innit for the money are they?
| zakalwe Worst sound off of all time.
| Sniff but she can also go a bit lower and sound like a ghost just awakening from slumber in the tomb
| nocuffin whoa, you my number one, slow dance and my head are gonna be in my immortal-tier fasho
| nocuffin and i'm especially happy that he included a bunch of 2013-14 songs.

| nocuffin thot breaker is so good that i might just kill myself
| nocuffin I did not expect the chelsea grin s/t to be one of your two 1s
| buzzkites hell yeah, first few listens i was a bit skeptical about some tunes but now i sing along to every track
| canteventrustmyself you've got a point but i'm so ****ing racked with anxiety that i'm basically immobile. can barely hold my phone.

| Lavair Did you translate them yourself?
| Lavair It probably is very personal. Sung in his Native language, and it sounds like he wanted his words to come through more than the music behind it.
| Lavair About that new Arca album: "He explained in an interview for i-D magazine that he didn't want the album to be eponymous, it's more that every other name felt wrong."
| Jasdevi087 Galas would chop your nuts off if she ever caught you using that opening line
| Hep Kat Yo dawg, you know you the truth, b, even though we started off dumb twisted as ****. Love the s/o for The Third House Boat Album, but you should go bump mine because don't no niqqa want war wit me defending pop-punk
| TVC15 It's ok I accept your apology :)
| TVC15 "demon days looked like let it be too you twat" Oh really? Wow didn't notice
| Dewinged I see, I enjoy your soundoff write-ups anyway ;) I may try to come up with some review for that album then.
| Dewinged Man after reading that King Woman soundoff you should totally make a review dude!
| modpack **** yes my mans. god bless you.
| modpack bro check syphilitic retard. best band of 2017 so far imo
| modpack all we need now is for mbe to get moving with 1300 degreez
| modpack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLycr98ZrVQ
| modpack he said valentine's day, but now it's back in the realms of "whenever it drops" (since he's tied up trynna make a legal case so he doesn't get sent back to illinois//imprisoned//killed). kinda kills all hope there was of him living up to the tape per month thing, but oh well.
| modpack will that or thot breaker drop first?????
| modpack it's been on the way since 2014 so I'm not sure i'd place loads of faith in that. will be magic if it does drop tho fr
| Angelboros Not much. Been promising myself to write more revs during this year, I'm almost 21, and just going with the flow really. S'up with you, man?
| modpack ehh it ain't so bad. been ****ing with pkillers and wastin my time indulging in cheap hedonism so it could def be worse... you **** with uli k at all?
| modpack okay. trynna find motivation inbetween the usual s***. feeling listless cuz I know I won't be going back to uni in the next few weeks as I would be normally. s***'s weird.

| Sniff Information Flash is cool!
| protokute thanks for the recs, will check them as soon as possible
| protokute hey man, could you rec me some cloud rap? and nice list!
| joshrhodes if he can stop getting into legal trouble hopefully, plus he's bound to drop a debut project at some point anyway
| sosabirdman that's perfectly fine. i wouldn't want you contributing super-frequently or anything, but it's best you deal with the other things on your plate first, for sure. if things do clear up, shoot me a shoutbox (assuming I'm still active here, otherwise talk to futures or arcade and they'll steer you to me and w/e). not sure if you've checked this either, but I feel you'd like: https://newstandardelite.bandcamp.com/album/excoriation-excoriation
| sosabirdman oh yeah, and were you interested in writing for the zine? i'd be happy to have you aboard (as there are currently a lot of inconsistent [read: LAZY] contributors that i'll probably end up booting).
| sosabirdman not a problem. :) glad you liked (on both fronts).
| Pon Well, all of their albums from EiF and onward have basically the same blueprint, but Vermis and Shrines are probably are pretty damn dense for someone who isn't completely invested in their sound. Most people would've told you to start with EiF as it's their best, but Destroyers is probably their most accessible due to being more spaced-out, musically and sonically.
| LotusFlower gotta thank pots, hes the one who told me to check it.
| LotusFlower it really IS that good. if the first track doesnt make u feel than something is wrong with you.
| BallsToTheWall Youtube Braveyoung's A Light Narrows. You won't be disappointed.
| Gyromania about 3 times each in the last 2 days. They're so perfect for the fall
| Gyromania Hell yeah man, I couldn't agree more. I've listened to the soundtracks for 1, 2, and 4
| iloveyouall yeah, that's fine. if you haven't, join this facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/178992205843904/
| BallsToTheWall You sold me to check out Ghost of a Dead Hummingbird's Under The Ultraviolet Light asap.
| iloveyouall it's pretty much the perfect fusion of slam and dxc. should be a classic, not the failure it is widely considered. it absolutely nails the schlocky serial killer atmosphere it goes for and delivers in spades when it comes to groove... that pencil lead syringe is a similar example, but it goes more for the pure wall of sound approach, totally waylaying the grooves. have you checked the devouring humanity album that came out this year? you'd definitely dig.
| iloveyouall at least 90% tbh. I feel like most are too concerned with trying to hate it to give it a proper chance... it's a shame really.
| wwyd agreed so hard. you're speaking to my soul.
| wwyd so ****ing demented. it conjures the most uncomfortable atmosphere I think I've ever experienced in music. I love it. I'm so glad that you feel the same way! :)
| Hep Kat Discogs is usually more reliable FYI
| Hep Kat Just a correction for yer Fresh Kill s/o: PJ Russo didn't play guitar for them during the period this material was recorded and released. The founding guitarist was Mike Hunchback
| Hawks Your soundoff for that new Oranssi Pazuzu record is perfect, exact same way I feel about it.
| YakNips nah it's actually the album cover to this EP - http://www.discogs.com/Grouper-He-Knows-He-Knows-He-Knows/master/87740, but after looking up that movie it looks wholly fascinating
| Gameofmetal it's probably my favorite tbdm by a long shot
| Gameofmetal dude i like that TBDM everblack soundoff. I think that bit about tribute to black and death metal is something i couldnt really ever put into words before for some reason
| danielmoreno Your 2015 list was awesome bro. It was a great year for music in Brazil too. I know that in the USA it don't really get recognized; but there was the 3rd Passo Torto album (kinda disturbing lyrics and such unique vibes), Ná Ozetti with Wisnik, and Arrigo Barnabé playing the hell out of his 64 years, Karina Buhr naked in her cover art, a sadly sick Elza Soares... You could check it out!
| zaruyache Get on Blue Album asap. It's quite a bit better than Purple and the production isn't lolbad.
| unclereich That shawn kemp sound off is legendary man props
| Angelboros Great Scott. To tell you the truth, I don't think I've ever seen anyone here churn out consistently entertaining sound-offs like you do. Keep it up, man! :3
| NewBallistics I'm a huge fan of his work. I've never listened to another game score that had me go from cheerful to scared to crying my eyes out like they did back then.
| ArsMoriendi Yeah he thought I was bigot for supporting gay rights, but being against pedophilia/bestiality. The irony, right?
| BMDrummer it's gonna sound like have a nice life or something, so be prepared
| BMDrummer all is generally well i guess, although all my senior friends are leaving next year so i'm sad about that. but new musics from me and judio is on the way
| DaveyBoy Post-hardcore's finest! Haha. Good sound-off, even if I havent listened to You Were Never Alone yet.
| Gameofmetal Vocals are often the highlight for me, just not the lyrics usually
| Gameofmetal I think it's really good but I have a soft spot for deathcore. It just kinda does everything deathcore needs to do well. The reason for the high rating is probably just because there are only 28 votes in and they're mostly the deathcore fans that hide around here haha. There are a few highly rated deathcore albums tho, All Shall Perish has a 3.9 rated album I think for instance.
| Hep Kat Great soundoff for Cool Convos, man. Glad you enjoyed.
| mryrtmrnfoxxxy youre missing the last 2 tracks on predatory headlights
| CK Some of those riffs though, holy crap
| CK Just listened to Endless. The melody was great, but I can't say I dug the breakdown too much...
| CK Not gonna list your rec cuz you already rec'd two, and I'm trying to keep a limit of two per person, but I'm listening to the Crinn now so I don't forget. Some interesting production, but really good music!
| Lord(e)Po)))ts just google 'son lux bones rar' or 'son lux bones zip' or whatever and you should be able to find an uploaded dl that takes like an hour or whatever. but yeah its ****ing explosive.
| Hep Kat mello music is an incredible stable of artists. all their posse cuts are fantastic. self sacrifice is one of my favorite rap albums of all time, but persona is quickly becoming my second fave by them
| Hep Kat yeah give is such a cool band. their music is so refreshingly positive, and, by proxy, the whole "flower" schtick is really sweet. i dig the new LP and new 7" a lot. i listen to them pretty frequently on my turntable. PT3 is really good too, spitta really showed up lyrically on that one. it's pretty overwhelming how much better rap in 2015 is compared to last year, which i considered to be an off year when stacked up against the rest of the decade so far
| Hep Kat Yeah that new Maxo bangs screw, the new Pile is great too, I have the LP coming in the mail. I've also been jamming that Raw Poetic/K-Def album a lot, I'm eagerly awaiting the vinyl pressing this summer. The new Kendrick is okay, but I've never really been all that impressed with him, so I'm mostly indifferent about it. I like the new Give 7" a lot too, and I've also taken quite a liking to the two Doctor Nod tapes from last year
| Hep Kat Nothing at all while I was in the hospital. But right now I'm mostly listening to the new Mello Music Group
| Hep Kat Yeah, it did. Got a few months of physical therapy ahead of me, but I should be perfectly fine after that
| Hep Kat that's rad man. "heart of a hustler" is prolly my fave Screw song
| Astral Abortis Album out March 30th: http://lostsaltbloodpurges.bandcamp.com/
| guitarded_chuck your summary of the new earl is legit as hell and totally on point, just dropping in to let you know
| LambsBread thanks breh i appreciate it I credit gwyn for showing me the liight
| Hep Kat Let me know how you find each DJ Screw record you listen to. His discography is massive, easily one of the largest in all of hip-hop. I would be curious to hear feedback from you about whatever you prefer check out
| Hep Kat Also, I'd like you to know that you have earned my respect now. I apologize for being rude in our previous interactions. I put new users through the same trial of fire I had to face when I first joined. As such, you have to earn a place in my stable, and you have. stay gucci
| Hep Kat you're welcome. check this: http://mellomusicgroup360.bandcamp.com/album/persona
| oltnabrick https://goropsy6.bandcamp.com/album/v-mac-and-cheese give my music a go, let me know what you think!
| Lord(e)Po)))ts haha totally can relate to that as well actually. interesting, thank you for evoking this train of thought out of me, i never would have drawn any of these conclusions otherwise
| Lord(e)Po)))ts much truth in that. oddly enough i havent really given it too much thought before, but its similar for my metal taste too i guess which probably explains my development in that department over the years. when i was a teen i liked metalcore and melodeth and all that more 'angsty' stuff when i was a confused middle schooler and took things a lot more seriously and now the only metal i really care for is sludge and doomy stuff
| Lord(e)Po)))ts when it comes to honest self reflective hip-hop like that i prefer a clever and almost tongue in cheek self-depreciative approach matched with beats with a similar vibe (ala Why? and Milo) than stuff like sadistik. it just reflects my own personality a lot better and how i tend to make light of things often with humour and im not one to wax poetic with my emotions without it feeling contrived so i think it mostly stems from personal relateability!
| Lord(e)Po)))ts i just find that kind of hip hop to be super cringe worthy lyrically, the beats arent always that bad but the fact that they are so melancholy really bolsters this whole embarrassingly emo approach that really irritates me. kinda make sense?
| BMDrummer thanks for the soundoff on godspeed, lp is coming soon and it's gonna be quite superior
| Lord(e)Po)))ts i could see u really liking the sorceress and hiatus kaiyote ones if you liked a/t/o/s and d'angelo
| Lord(e)Po)))ts :p no prob dude, check out the others if u get a chance
| LambsBread word sorry i dont remember why i said that
| BMDrummer no idea why i waited so long to check more of his stuff, gonna jam more stuff soon
| Hep Kat are you using middle-school age psychology that's been played out a quintillion times on the internet because you're stupid or...?
| Hep Kat Because I'm rich, crunk, have a beautiful family, and I literally don't care about your fartknocker bulls*** bro. now foad im jamming GWAR
| Hep Kat u do realize ur gay-ass passive aggressive first response won't work on me, rite? lol fag
| Hep Kat typical flamer-ass response. Go have a good cry, little girl
| Hep Kat I will eat your dreams and s*** them in your mouth
| BMDrummer Haha thanks, I knew you were just messing around, plus I'm not even a huge Cannibal fan tbh.
| BMDrummer I'm an idiot sometimes, and I guess you read my new soundoff
| BMDrummer I appreciate your soundoff for the new Cannibal.
