HIM (His Infernal Majesty) is:
Ville Valo-Vocals
Danielle Lioneye (Linde)-Guitar
Mige-Bass
Burton Emerson-Keyboards
Gas Lipstick-Drums

Tracks:

Buried Alive By Love (5:01)
This song being one of the singles off this album actually lives up to the name- Love Metal. With its heavy but simplistic guitar intro and fast paced drum beat really makes up for the title of this album. Towards the end of the song around 4:00 min. Ville semi-screams "if i should die before i wake then pray no one my soul to take" to put a ending to the first track off the album. (4.5/5)

The Funeral Of Hearts (4:30)
This song is quite interesting, however i cannot figure out the meaning of this song, and if you watch the video its a bit odd-you would have to see for yourself. Anyway, this song's starts of immediatly with Ville singing "Love's the funeral of hearts..." and with an acoustic guitar to back it up. This song really sets a gothic mood for the album concidering that many people do think of HIM as goth. (3.5/5)

Beyond Redemption (4:28)
Starts out with an interestiing keyboard intro and then a crackling sound of lightning before the rest of the instuments come in. In this song it seems as if Ville delibertly changes the tone of his voice to match the song. Sounds kinda creepy after listening to it a few times. After reapeating the Chorus twice a buildup comes and then Linde burst into an amazing guitar solo at the right time. The song then slows down a bit reapeats the chourus once more and then comes to an end. (4.5/5)

Sweet Pandamonium (5:45)
This song I don't think is to necessary for this album, however is a descent ballad. Starts with an interesting guitar intro and catchy drum beat and then Ville starts singing. Also contains some nice dual vocals. Its nothing too special and I sometimes skip it. This song seems almost to plain for HIM and just drags on. I'd prefer to hear this song live. (2.5/5)

Soul On Fire (4:02)
A brilliant, heavy fast paced guitar intro and then slows down and ville starts singing. Before you think this song is going to be another ballad it starts up again and Ville sings "we are like the living dead sacrificing all we have for a frozen heart and soul on fire!" Another guitar solo from Linde that goes perfect with this song and, and a nice drum beat from Gas to put it to an end. This is also a very nice song to finish a concert with. (5/5)

The Sacrement (4:32)
Starts with a nice piano intro and comes in also, with a nice acoustic guitar. Fast-paced, but as well as a very relaxing song. You can here the piano through out almost all of the song which is nice IMO. Nothing especially stands out in this song, however a very nice addition to the album. (4/5)

The Fortress Of Tears (5:46)
A pretty slow song, although sets a nice atmosphere for the song. This song shows some real emotion, which stands out very well. Another nice guitar solo toward the middle. Also some very emotional lyrics such as "no one can save you now from the grace you are drowning in just hold your breath on your way down" -also very gothic. (4/5)

Circle Of Fear (5:27)
Very nice guitar playing and drum beats through out the entire song. Almost sounds like its building up to something, however doesn't. When ville sings the chorus he really sounds like he means what he's saying, and during the verse his voice is deeper and almost sounds like a different band member is singing. This song also sets a nice atmosphere for the album. (3.5/5)

Endless Dark (5:35)
Once again another nice keyboard intro and then goes right into heavy hitting guitar. It gets softer as Ville comes into the song to sing and then speeds up again and reapeats this a few times until the chorus. Linde goes off into another amazing guitar solo before it becomes quite and Ville takes the spotlight. The bass also stands out very well in this song. (4.5/5)

The Path (7:42)
A perfect ending song for the album. It starts out very soft and Ville sings beautifully. " i cross over rivers deep and dark as the night searching for a reason why time passes by" Around 6:20 Linde comes in again with his simply incredible guitar solos! By far the best f*****g guitar work I've seen so on the album. I wouldn't have this song any different then it is. (5/5).

This is my first album review and I'm only thirteen so please feel free to leave me any comments that you liked about my review or you think i need improvement on. Thankyou :)

Eh. Decent review. You described the tracks well, but that's all you described. But, it was a very coherent first effort. You shall be pozzed.

Not too bad, but talk more about the band and the album as a whole instead of each seperate tracks. Other then that it's a good first review. I rather enjoy this album a lot more then I do the other HIM albums and I think musically it's their best.

Very good first review, I voted for it. I hate H.I.M. though.

Because you touch yourself at night.

I'm not really a fan of this band, but I'm getting sick to death of the holier-than-thou crowd around here who thinks that bashing the band proves they are superior in some way to the band's fans. And truthfully, I doubt many of the nay-sayers have heard anything other than the radio singles either. They simply hate this band because the fanboys and Bam Margera are so bloody obnoxious. This Message Edited On 06.03.06

I actually hate HIM because they annoy me. And because Bam is so fucking obnoxious. No pun intended in the "little Peter" yo.

Bam isn't in the band though, he's just like makeshift publicity. I hate HIM because they suck.

Vallo was a good singer though. Untill this album at least.

True, but he promotes them to the point of sadistic obsession.

This band just really annoy me. The whole image is stupid and the only decent song they did was Buried Alive By Love.

I could care less what image a band wants to slap on themselves. But in the case of HIM, it's hard for me to remain neutral because whenever I encounter one of their pre-pubescent fans, I just want to hate the music if only to spite the little brats and laugh when their crying ruins their poorly-applied mascara.

um thank you for most of your comments. i just wana say that people should look further into a band then their image. People should mainly consentrate on their music and how they sound. thanks for the feedback

I personally like the sound, not so much the image though.
