  • Snowdog808 Hi Jethro. Would you be able to tell me of a Zeuhl band that I would like not named Magma. I loved 1001 Centigrades a whole lot, so I think a deeper dive into the subgenre is warranted.

  • Onirium They do draw inspiration from a lot of other bands of the era, but they do it so well it's certainly forgettable in the end. Thanks for the link, that was a great song. The only other album of theirs I'm familiar with is the debut, which is also excellent, but I might check out Old Love Dies Hard too as it seems great.

  • Onirium I agree Mister Ten Percent has some awesome moments, but I feel its instrumental sections are a little less inspired. But the more melodic second half is brilliant, I'm always loving some organ-driven prog, plus it kind of recalls Genesis at times. I agree with you on the highlights of Spartacus, and the only thing I think I miss in Double Dimple is a pompous synth riff like in March of the Eternal City.

  • Onirium Double Dimple finally clicked, it took a while, but I now definitely agree with you that it's much more consistent than Spartacus. The title-track is especially well-written and amazingly performed, and I'm really loving the melodic work on the album.
