  • fr33convict the day an income of zero doesn't cut it. You've got to invest in this s*** full time if you're an artist and uou most definitely should support your favorite artists as a fan. So yeah super long rant over. You may have to click view more to read this whole thing at this point.

  • fr33convict That would be around 500 sales. That's $2500 and doesn't cover half of what it cost to record. Playing a around 30 gigs a year you might make back the other half. You've wasted countless hours of hard work and have maybe a thousand fans to show for it. I'm not trying to be a whine bitch, but something I pour my blood sweat and tears into I would love to hear a little more back then from "you guys are good! I downloaded your album of mediafire and it was good keep it up!" because at the end of

  • fr33convict It's not really an argument of whether you should or shouldn't love music or care about getting rich. I mean hell my current band gave our first EP out for free and still do. It's just that anything you give the artist helps and yeah you can get it for free but at the end of the day its (1) illegal and (2) really hard to combat, especially with a band with a small fanbase. Let's say half my last bands fanbase bought our album (which is a lot but bear with me you'll see the point in the end).
