Ex-Death bassist dead at 47 43 replies

Bassist Scott Clendenin, who played on Death's classic The Sound Of Perseverance LP, as well as on Live In LA and Live In Eindhoven '98, has passed away at the age of 47. Clendenin also played with late Death founder Chuck Schuldiner in Control Denied, from 1997-1999. He had been a part of several Death To All live dates in 2012 and 2013.

Death's manager, Eric Greif, posted the following on the band's Facebook page:

"With a sense of shock I'm letting all of you know of the passing today of former DEATH bassist Scott Clendenin. Scott had some health challenges in the last few years but was optimistic about his prospects. Of course he was the skilled player on The Sound of Perseverance DEATH album, and recently participated in two DTA live runs, in 2012 and 2013, including the highlight of his acoustic guitar in a poignant rendition of Voice of the Soul. Our thoughts go out to Scott's family at this difficult time. ERIC"

Lars Ulrich to blame 51 replies

In a stunning turn of events, the widely renowned drummer for Metallica has again revealed some fuck ups in the past.

1988's ...And Justice For All is regarded as a classic album, but a common complaint has been the complete lack of bass. As per usual, Lars Ulrich is to blame. In a recent interview with the album's producer Steve Thompson, Thompson came forward and revealed that Ulrich was so caught up in making the drums sound exactly the way he wanted that he told the bass to eat a dick.

Thompson's words, "This sounds like ass," sums up the general opinion on the album's production, but alas.
