R.I.P. Chester Bennington 217 replies

Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington has committed suicide.

Law enforcement sources informed TMZ the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM.

Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives.

The singer struggled with drugs and alcohol for years. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male.

American electronic rock act PVRIS have announced on their Facebook page that due to "some last-minute production tweaks" their upcoming sophomore album All We Know of Heaven, All We Need of Hell will now be released on August 25th instead of August 4th.

Whilst the Blanck Mass LP delves into gothic soundscapes and churning textures, the first track from Hung seems to point to something brighter and more colourful, going so far as to include his own naive, detached vocal performance.

British ambient artist Ghost Hall has released the first track from his upcoming second album, Nine Dragons. The album, inspired by the legendary Kowloon Walled City, will be released on July 24.

American hard rock/post-grunge band 12 Stones have released a brand new song entitled "Picture Perfect," accompained with a music video. This is the first single from their fifth album Picture Perfect, released on July 14 through Cleopatra Records.

American alternative hard rock/metal band Projected have released a music video for their brand new song "Ignite." This is the third single the band have released to promote their upcoming new album "Ignite My Insanity," which will be released on July 21, via Rat Pak Records.

Projected are: guitarist/vocalist John Connolly and bassit Vinnie Hornsby from Sevendust, drummer Scott Phillips from Alter Bridge and guitarist Eric Friedman from Tremonti.

Adrenaline Mob In Fatal Crash 24 replies

One person has died and eight more injured after a tractor-trailer collided with Adrenaline Mob's tour bus in St Petersburg, Florida, while the crew were changing a flat tyre on the way to a concert.

The identities of those involved have not yet been disclosed, however sound man Robert Dressler has been confirmed as safe after conducting interviews about the crash. Of the eight injured, two declined treatment, three are in a critical condition while the remaining three have been described as "stable". They are currently being treated at UF Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center. It has been confirmed that band members are among the injured, and police are currently investigating.

Anubis Gate announce 7th album 2 replies

Danish progressive metal band Anubis Gate recently unveiled the track list and artwork for their 7th album titled 'Covered in Black', with an official release date of September 1st this year. Detailing the record, the band has stated:

"Dealing with, and dedicated to, people in dark places, this album has a darker and more complex edge to it... Ranging from classical chamber music, seventies prog and extending to thrash, with very eastern influences popping up, this is an album that is best heard as one piece, even if the individual tracks can stand on their own."

The band also plan to release a teaser and music video for the album's first single in the coming months.

Prophets of Rage, the rap metal group consisting of members of Rage Against the Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, have released a new song from their upcoming self-titled album, due out September 15. Tom Morello states that the song, "Living on the 110", is about the problems of homelessness in the USA, including the thousands of people sleeping rough under the 110 freeway in Los Angeles.
