New Jersey Alt/Jazz/Ska/Prog/Whatever Septet Thank You Scientist have released a new track, "Blue Automatic"

Thank You Scientist, signed to Claudio Sanchez (of Coheed and Cambria fame)'s record label, Evil Ink Records, will be releasing their sophomore album Stranger Heads Prevail on July 29th. They have released the first song from the album, titled "Blue Automatic."

This will be the first album by Thank You Scientist to be released on Evil Ink Records.

Fates Warning Album Teaser 12 replies

Progressive Metal artists Fates Warning have released an album teaser for their upcoming release, Theories of Flight. Theories of Flight will be released through Inside Out Music on July 1st, 2016.

Fates Warning vocalist Ray Alder checked in to comment about Theories Of Flight as follows:

"We began writing the music for "Theories" while we were still touring for "Darkness"... I believe that the anticipation to write another record was due to the fact that we were once again touring and playing new material after nine years of playing the same songs. Manowar announce farewell tour 9 replies

Manowar have announced their farewell tour in a statement on their website. Dubbed The Final Battle, the tour will begin in Germany and is intended to go "even bigger and beyond anything we have ever done; something that will fulfill every Manowarrior’s dreams."

Revocation detail sixth album 39 replies

Boston death/thrash metal band Revocation have released information regarding their upcoming sixth full-length album, titled Great Is Our Sin.
Released through Metal Blade Records and produced by Zeuss, like its predecessor, Deathless, the new LP is due out on July 22.


Great Is Our Sin will feature new drummer Ash Pearson, and a guest solo on “The Exaltation” by Marty Friedman.

Infamous electronic outfit The Avalanches have released a new video, entitled Since They Left Us. In this two minute teaser, the Australian group goes over the history of the making of the follow-up to their debut Since I Left You, which has reportedly been in the works since 2005. The video features appearances from Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux, Ariel Pink, Danny Brown, and Father John Misty; Herrema, Pink and Brown have been reported to have worked with the Avalanches. Back in April 2016, The Avalanches announced their return to the music world with some festival performances.

Nick Menza, former drummer for thrash/heavy metal band Megadeth, has passed away at the age of 51. Initial reports say that heart failure is to blame for his death.

Menza played drums and percussion for Megadeth from 1989-1998, as well as recording for some of their most well known albums such as Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction.
