Washington D.C. alt/indie/post punk band Makeshift Shelters are streaming their debut album Something So Personal at their official Bandcamp location.

The album was released on February 24, courtesy of Broken World Media, and according to Alternative Press, it's on par with the work of outfits like Paramore and Motion City Soundtrack.

Ghost Bath drop Moonlover 11 replies

Chinese post-black metal band Ghost Bath have begun streaming their new and highly anticipated sophomore record, Moonlover, through Bandcamp.

The band received praise earlier in the year after initially releasing the second track on the album, 'Golden Number', which saw many draw comparisons to Deafheaven, another acclaimed black metal band.

Although the first 900 CD run of the album has already sold out, future copies will be available through Northern Silence Productions, as well as directly through the band's bandcamp page.

The recently formed rock group Richards/Crane have released their first single 'Black & White', featuring Myles Kennedy.

The new duo includes Lee Richards, formerly of Godsmack, along with Whitfield Crane, formerly of Ugly Kid Joe. The two have also collaborated together on the hard rock group, Another Animal.

Chapel Hill NC melodic doom/death metal band Atten Ash are streaming the reissue of their debut album The Hourglass at the official Bandcamp location of Hypnotic Dirge Records.

Jack U announce/release album 13 replies

Jack U, an electronic duo comprised of brostep wunderkind Skrillex and trap superstar/compulsive Twitter instigator Diplo, has released their debut mini-album only hours after officially announcing it. The duo, who before today had only released one original song and one remix, are currently live-streaming a 24-hour concert on Beatport in celebration of the release of their album, creatively titled Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U. The 9-track offering contains appearances from artists including Kiesza, 2 Chainz, Bunji Garlin, and Justin Bieber.

Arcturus announce new record. 24 replies

The avant-garde metal outfit from Norway known as Arcturus is back after an 8 year break-up to announce the release of their first album in a decade.

The album, entitled Arcturian, which features 10 new tracks and artwork by Costin Chioreanu, is due to release on May 5th of 2015 through Prophechy Records, and on May 8th, 2015 in North America.

Swedish death metal supergroup The Resistance, featuring the two original In Flames guitarists Jesper Strömblad and Glenn Ljungström, as well as members of Grave and The Haunted, have released a lyric video for the track 'Dead'.

The song is taken from their upcoming mini-album Torture Tactics, out February 27.

Knoxville deathcore band Whitechapel have released a new music video for the song "Let Me Burn". "Let Me Burn" comes from the band's fifth full length Our Endless War. The music video was directed by Mitch Massie, known for the controversial video to Cattle Decapitation's "Forced Gender Reassignment", and this video is also notably violent and gory.

Norwegian extreme metal band Enslaved have released a new lyric video for an edited version of "One Thousand Years of Rain", the third track off of their upcoming studio album In Times.
The album will be released March 6th in Europe, March 9th in the UK, and March 10th in North America. Enslaved will also begin their North American tour with YOB and Ecstatic Vision on March 5th.

Canadian rockers Three Days Grace have detailed their upcoming fifth studio album, entitled Human.

Tthe record marks the band's first with new vocalist Matt Walst, formerly of My Darkest Days and the younger brother of bassist Brad Walst, who joined the band following the departure of longtime frontman Adam Gontier.

Canadian post-rock legends Godspeed You! Black Emperor have just now announced the release of their new album Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress, as well as releasing an excerpt from their latest song 'Peasantry or ‘Light! Inside of Light!’'.

This news was later confirmed by Constellation Records on Twitter. The new album will be their shortest full length LP standing in at only forty minutes.

Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress is set to be released on March 31.
