Post-hardcore band Alesana have released a stream of their newest album, titled 'Confessions', in anticipation for the album's release on April 21, through their own label Revival Recordings.

Rosetta have announced that their upcoming follow up to 2013's "The Anaesthete" will be titled "Quintessential Ephemera" and is scheduled for late June/early July. Rosetta will be partnering with four different labels to bring about a worldwide physical release. "Quintessential Ephemera" will also be a pay as you wish download on bandcamp. Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue is streaming his new solo record, 'Carry the Fire,' on Pandora a few days ahead of its April 21st release date via Pandora.
Atlanta, Georgia Ex-Rise Records band Of Machines have released two new demos and a long awaited EP update. The band mentions that Dylan Anderson (Vocalist) has been MIA and it's withholding production of "Chroma Dreamcoat". Dylan Anderson was also in charge of the Paypal account that people donated to.

With a heavy heart.. it doesn't seem like the chroma season ep is going to happen... After months of trying to contact Dylan he, unfortunately, is MIA. Music has been written, but without a vocalist this ep doesn't seem possible.

Veteran German power metal group Helloween have released a new track, accompanied by a lyric video, entitled "Battle's Won", taken from the band's upcoming album My God Given Right. The new album is set to be released via Nuclear Blast Records on May 29th (EU), June 1st (UK) and June 2nd (US). You can listen to the song here:

US metalcore act Texas in July have announced that they are disbanding after their final European and US tour. The 15 date European tour will kick off in June while the US tour dates are still to be announced.
Irish post rock/math rock/whatever band And So I Watch You From Afar has released a new track off its upcoming 4th album, Heirs, due out May 4th on Sargent House. The track, entitled 'Redesigned a Million Times', is the third song to be released from the new album.

Rock band Brand New premiered yet another new song at a show in L.A. last night.
This track, titled 'Sealed to Me,' sees a change of pace in comparison to the first track released this week as frontman Jesse Lacey performed the track solo, with just an electric guitar and a microphone.
The band passed out lyric sheets for the song (which can easily be found with a quick internet search) to audience members prior to their set, but again made no official mention of a release date for a seemingly impending album.

Bay Area thrashers Slayer have released a new song for this weekend's Record Store Day event, which celebrates independent music stores with exclusive vinyl releases. Slayer are contributing the track "When the Stillness Comes", although it is unknown if the song will be appearing on the upcoming studio album which will be released on Nuclear Blast Records later this year.
The song can be heard below, 7" editions of the song are available in select stores on April 18.
The Canadian electronic group Crystal Castles have released a new song, which is their first new material without their former vocalist.
The song is titled "Frail", and can be streamed using the link below. Following the departure of Alice Glass from the band in October 2014, the song features a new singer known only as "Edith".
Producer Ethan Kath stated "I wish my former vocalist the best of luck in her future endeavors. I think it can be empowering for her to be in charge of her own project. It should be rewarding for her."
It is not yet clear whether more new material from the group is on the way.
Working with producer Dennis Herring at Dtla recording studio for a little over a year Christofer Ingle of Never Shout Never announced this week that they had finish putting the last touches on the record, also adding that the album is set to be out by the end of summer.

The lineup and dates for the 8th annual Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Fest have been announced. Slayer and King Diamond will be headlining, with Hellyeah, The Devil Wears Prada, and Whitechapel also on the main stage. Other bands that will be at the festival include Thy Art Is Murder, Jungle Rot, Sister Sin, Sworn In, Shattered Sun, Code Orange, Kissing Candice, and Feed Her to the Sharks.
Mayhem Fest kicks off in June, and tickets will go on sale this Friday, 4/17. Dates are listed below.

Drummer extraordinaire Gavin Harrison has released a video for the track 'Hatesong/Halo' off of his new album Cheating the Polygraph which sees him rearranging Porcupine Tree songs in a jazz setting. Cheating the Polygraph was released on the 13th of April in the US via Kscope.

Punk Legends Good Riddance are streaming their new album “Peace In Our Time,” in full. It is the bands first new album in almost a decade. The band has released two videos from the album in the last month and The album drops on April 21st.
Californian metal heavyweights High on Fire have announced details about their upcoming seventh studio album, titled Luminiferous.
Recorded at GodCity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts, and produced by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou, Luminiferous is slated for a June 23 release via eOne Music.
One of the tracks from the album, ‘Slave the Hive,’ was previously released in 2013 as a free downloadable single though Scion AV.
Speaking on Luminiferous, vocalist/guitarist Matt Pike says; “We're doing our part to expose The Elite and the fingers they have in religion, media, governments and financial world downfall and their relationship to all of our extraterrestrial connections in the race to control this world.”

Chicago-based rock duo Local H just released their eighth studio effort, Hey, Killer, which is available for purchase on CD, vinyl, and digital formats.
Recorded in Steve Albini's Electrical Audio Studio and produced by longtime friend of the band Andy Gerber, Hey, Killer has been described as one of the most catchiest recordings the band has done yet.

Baltimore-based genre-baiters Pianos Become the Teeth have debuted a video for a new track, entitled '895', via Epitaph Records' YouTube channel.
The song, which was recorded during the sessions for last year's Keep You, will appear on the band's upcoming Record Store Day-exclusive EP, Close.
The new album from experimental artist Volcanic Queen, entitled The Structure of Hidden Fire, is now available for streaming and a pay-what-you want download. The album is a follow-up to last year's small cult achievement, Faith In Desire.

Philadelphia-based pop-punk band Alimony announced earlier today that they are calling it quits. They also announced a final show May 2nd at Chaplin's in Spring City PA, and a final song, "In Love Again", to be released this summer.
Alimony formed in 2014 by vocalist Tim Balch as a side-project, who plays mainly in Andross, while guitarist Kevin Folk plays in Brosef Gordon-Levitt.

August Burns Red have now officially released their lead single, entitled 'The Wake', from their upcoming album Found in Far Away Places. This is their first album with Fearless Records after leaving Solid State Records last year. The album is set to be released on June 30th.
Currently embarking on a North American tour, rock band Brand New has released a video for a new song, entitled 'Mene', which is also available for download on the band's website.
This comes after videos surfaced online last week of the band playing this track live, making it the first official music released by the band since 2009's Daisy.
