Figure head of Chicago's drill scene Chief Keef dropped his latest single last night, "Wait". Keef is continuing his weird streak by not only continuing rapping off kilter, but by producing the track himself.

The beat a strange mishmash of noises that shares some qualities with rap but is more sonically similar to IDM — in particular in its glitchy hi-hats and the unexpectedly gentle synth lead that sounds like something Aphex Twin might have made back during his Richard D. James Album era.

While on their heavily anticipated reunion tour, Texan emo legends Mineral had their van broken into after Tuesday night's show at the The Firebird in St. Louis, Missouri. Thousands of dollars in electronics, money from merch sales, clothing, and several other items were among the belongings that were stolen, despite the van being in a well lit area with an attendant guarding the van.

In a surprise announcement, Swedish death-metallers Bloodbath have named Nick Holmes as their new vocalist. Holmes is best known for his work with Paradise Lost, the classic death/doom metal outfit out of England.

Adding that they didn't want to go in the direction of a Fathomless Mastery - Part II, Jonas Renske has gone on to say that the band's next release, Grand Morbid Funeral would be leaning more towards the direction of "raw, organic, sludgy death metal".

Grand Morbid Funeral is set to be released on November 17th 2014.

Russian/Ukrainian folk, doom, post-rock band Kauan are premiering the closing track to their upcoming sixth album Muistumia, a crowd-funded collection of re-recorded tracks from their raw and early days as teenagers in Chelyabinsk, Russia.

The song, 'Orkidea', is a newly recorded and re-arranged version of the closing track to the band's 2008 sophomore effort Tietäjän Laulu.

The band is most notable for being one of the only non-Finnish entities to sing almost exclusively in the very difficult and obscure language of Finnish. The album's title Muistumia translates to "Reminiscences" and features six re-recorded tracks and one brand new song. The vinyl release also features two bonus tracks.

It will be available for pre-order on September 17th, 2014 via Finnish label Blood Music and will be released on November 4th, 2014.
