8 years after the release of Tool's last record 10,000 Days, the band's guitarist Adam Jones
has confirmed in Portland, Oregon that the new record is finally "100% done." It's not clear
when in 2014 the album will be released, but the band have new tour dates lined up:

Just days after announcing their upcoming tour with Thirty Seconds to Mars and AFI, Linkin
Park have released 'Guilty All The Same', the lead single off of their, as of now untitled,
sixth studio album in surprise fashion. The song also features legendary rapper Rakim.

With Record Store Day approaching (April 19th), Oneohtrix Point Never has announced a brand new compilation, entitled Commissions I, that will be released exclusively on Record

Selim Lemouchi, guitar player for The Devil's Blood and Selim Lemouchi and His Enemies, has died today. His cause of death is unknown.
Krallice announced on their facebook page that they will releasing a split album with Ekstasis later this year. Ekstasis is the new side-project from Blut Aus Nord's Vindsval.

Minneapolis punk rock band, Banner Pilot have released a new song called Shakes. Their next full length, entitled Souvenir is slated to be released on April 15th via Fat Wreck Chords.
Kimono Kult, a supergroup featuring John Frusciante, ex-guitarist for Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Omar Rodriguez-Lopez, current guitarist for The Mars Volta, are currently streaming their debut EP, Hiding In Light, via Consequence of Sound.
The EP, sang mostly in Spanish, is described as "four songs of electro/dub/afro-beat/avant-freak/jazz-like conversations of instrumental ecstasy".

Are We There is set to be released by Jagjaguwar on May 27th in the US, and May 26th in the UK.
Santana has just announced that his new album, Corazón will be released on the 6th of May of this year.
He describes this as the first "latin music" album in his whole career as most of the lyrics will be in spanish and will feature collaborations with many Latin American artists (including Juanes, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs and Ziggy Marley, among others).

Swedish metal band Arch Enemy have released details for the band's upcoming album, entitled War Eternal. The new album is currently being mixed by Jens Bogren, and according to guitarist/mainman Michael Amott, new material will be played for the first time on the band's upcoming eastern European tour, which commences on May 23rd in Romania.
Speaking about the production of War Eternal, Amott said that "We’ve been producing ourselves, as we did on Khaos Legions. We have a clear vision of what we want Arch Enemy to sound like, and we can actually achieve it without the help of outside producers. We also have the advantage of having two talented sound engineers among our ranks in Daniel Erlandsson (drums) and Nick Cordle (guitar).

Norwegian band Ulver has been forced to withdraw from the band's two upcoming shows in
Moscow, Russia and Baltimore, Maryland's much-anticipated festival Maryland Deathfest,
citing health concerns. The band state on their official website:
"We regret to inform you that for the second time in our live-career we are obliged to
cancel our most imminent shows. This includes the announced concert in Moscow (with
orchestra) in April as well as the Maryland Deathfest in Baltimore in May. We are truly
sorry for the inconvenience and/or disappointment this may be for some, but the time is
simply not right for us.

Coming off the steam of last year's mystifying isolation chamber The Redeemer and a recent 26-minute mixtape entitled Skin Fade with folkstress Joanne Robertson, Dean Blunt has signed with indie label Rough Trade, who will be putting out his next release called Black Metal (whether its an LP, EP, or another cryptic mixtape has yet to be said, although it's likely to be a full-length album considering Rough Trade is releasing this).
