Hate Meditation, the new full time black metal band of Nachtmystium frontman Blake Judd, are streaming a new song, titled "The Genocide March", from the following location:

The song will be included in the band's debut album Scars which will be released some time during 2013 from Norway's Indie Recordings. According to Judd, Hate Meditation place themselves within the second wave of Norwegian black metal, namely in between Burzum's early albums and Emperor's 1994 classic In The Nightshade Eclipse.
Chicago based avant-garde black metallers Nachtmystium are officially on hiatus.
In a month's old interview for Stereogum webzine, band frontman (and only stable member) Blake Judd revealed his intention to focus on a new band outfit, Hate Meditation.
In his own words:
We are sorry to inform you that Nachtmystium have decided to cancel all their live activities in the foreseeable future. The band has parted ways with their long time lead guitarist, Andrew Markuszewski, and their recording engineer/synth player, Sanford Parker. The remaining three band members of Nachtmystium as of today are going to bring the band to a state of hiatus

It has been reported that the former Dark Funeral, Necrophobic and Infernal guitarist David Parland passed away at the age of 42. The cause of death is not as of yet known, but it has been suggested that it was suicide.
Dark Funeral bandmate Lord Ahriman has since posted the following message via Facebook with regards to the tragic news:
"A couple of days ago I was reached by the terrible news that my old brother David 'Blackmoon' Parland had passed away and entered the eternal fire once and for all. It's taken me a few days to grasp it all. And it still hurts, alot, to even think or talk about it.
During the last couple of weeks I was in close contact with David. He was going through an extremely difficult time of life, whereof he contacted me to ask for my help.

Thou Art Lord, the all star Hellenic black metal project featuring members of Rotting Christ, Necromantia and Mortify, is on the works for a full length album release, titled The Regal Pulse Of Lucifer.
This is the first Thou Art Lord album since 2005's Orgia Daemonicum and signifies a return to the acclaimed style of the first two TAL albums, namely Eosforos and Apollyon.
The lineup in charge of the new album is as follows:

The album will be put out by Nuclear War Now Records sometime in between the upcoming summer.

New England’s premier female-fronted extreme metal band SORROWSEED has announced their
second US tour. Starting in March, the group will be traveling along the Northeast region
of the United States on the 2nd annual “Damsels of Darkness” tour.
Joining SORROWSEED for this tour will be extreme metal shredder Eric Pellegrini on lead
guitar. SORROWSEED is a melodic extreme metal band based in Boston, Massachusetts. Formed
in 2009, they have one current studio album entitled "The Extinction Prophecies", with a
