Emo/Pop-Punk/Melodic Hardcore outfit Citizen have dropped both their third and fourth singles one right after the other. Titled "Fever Days" and "Flowerchild" respectively, both are off the band's upcoming third album "As You Please". "As You Please" drops Oct. 6 via Run For Cover Records.

Black metal now-trio Wolves In the Throne Room have made their upcoming 6th full-length Thrice Woven available to stream ahead of its release on Friday. Noisey premiered a YouTube link of the album, and the entirety of the record is now streamable on WITTR's Bandcamp page.

Cannibal Corpse have released a new song from upcoming album Red Before Black, accompanied by a music video. The track, "Code of the Slashers", is the first song released from their 14th studio album which will be released on November 3 via Metal Blade Records. The track can be streamed on Bandcamp below.

Linkin Park has announced a tribute concert for Chester Bennington, who passed away on July 20th.

The show, billed as "Linkin Park & Friends - Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Bennington", will take place at Los Angeles' Hollywood Bowl venue on October 27th. In a statement on their website, the band has promised "an unforgettable night of music to honor the man that touched the lives of so many around the world".

LP recently released a music video for "One More Light", the title track from their latest album, which is set to be released as a single on October 3rd.

Carnifex vs Virgin Trains 24 replies

Carnifex have taken to Twitter to hit out at Virgin Trains, after the British rail company used their music without permission in their latest advertising campaign.

The campaign, which was recently updated during an airing of The Great British Bake Off, compared travelling by Virgin Train, soundtracked by Spandau Ballet, to travelling by car, which the advert compares to the chaos of "thrash metal" (not crediting Carnifex) and showing traffic jams, flat tyres and the advert's protagonist being arrested. The advert has also been shared across Virgin Trains' social media platforms.

The company's PR team were said on Twitter to be unaware themselves of what song was used, however, Carnifex went on to criticize the company for the usage of 2008 track "Answers In Mourning", implying that they are not being paid royalties for the song's usage and attacking the negative portrayal of the (mislabelled) genre. It seems as if our worst fears have been realized, the robots are now taking over, and their first target is the music industry. The mastermind behind all of this is none other than New Zealand electronic musician, producer and filmmaker Nigel Stanford, who is best known for creating the 2015 "Science vs. Music" video 'Cymatics', which has reached up to 13 million views on Youtube.

The song itself is the title track off of Stanford new album Automatica, which is available now on several music streaming services. The music video features Stanford programming several robotic arms to play musical several musical instruments.

Squalus Debut Album Stream 2 replies

Sludge metal band Squalus is streaming its debut album The Great Fish. The album is available at PopMatters with an accompanying interview from frontman Aaron Gregory.

The band is a quartet featuring three former members of progressive metal act Giant Squid. It features no typical guitars, instead relying on a pair of basses to bring forth pummeling, fuzzy riffs as the band channels the movie Jaws over the course of 11 songs.
