After going on a indefinite hiatus in late 2008 and extending until now, From Autumn to Ashes has detailed their comeback.

Along with teasing a few of their hardcore fans with an announcement on Facebook and new photos this past week the band posted this today:

"Here you go. a LITTLE bit early. We’ll be playing at Amnesia Rockfest this June in Montebello Canada. Us and Refused are the only two bands announced so far but we hear it’s a pretty stellar line up. We’ll play some more shows as well".

Furthermore, in the comment section the band replied to questions about a album being in the works:

"We're going to tackle the shows before we discuss a record. there have already been 2 rehearsals and things are sounding good. Right now we're just seeing what songs we can remember and what songs we want to explore that we maybe didn't play
before as much".

Marduk announce new album 10 replies

Legendary Swedish black metal Marduk has announced the title and release date for their 13th album. The new effort is named Frontschwein and is currently scheduled for a January 19th release through Century Media Records.

Chris and Shawn quit Megadeth 90 replies

In the span of 24 hours, Megadeth guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover have both quit the band. Chris Broderick sited the normal 'artistic and musical differences' while Shawn Drover basically stated the same thing when he mentioned a desire to 'pursue [his] own musical interests.'

Chris Broderick Statement:
Due to artistic and musical differences, it is with great reluctance that I announce my departure from MEGADETH to pursue my own musical direction.

I want all of you to know how much I appreciate the amount that you the fans have accepted and respected me as a member of MEGADETH for the last seven years, but it is time for me to move on.

I wish Dave [Mustaine] and everyone in MEGADETH all the best.

Engel Debut New Single, Album 2 replies

Gothenburg-based outfit Engel (featuring Niclas Engelin of In Flames) are releasing their fourth studio record, Raven Kings on November 28th. In advance, the band posted a video for the
album's first single, entitled "Salvation".

Raven Kings will be the first album featuring vocalist Mikael Sehlin and will be released via Gain Music and Sony Records. The album was recorded earlier this year and produced by produced by founders Marcus Sunesson and the aforementioned Engelin.

Engel will tour shortly after the current In Flames tour concludes. According to the band's Facebook, "Niclas is still very much in the band, but not live at the moment due to In Flames."

The Decemberists release new video 8 replies

Indie folk band The Decemberists have released an official music video for their new single 'Make You Better'. The song is taken from their upcoming album What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World. The album is scheduled for release on January 20.

The video features the band performing their song and being awkwardly interviewed in a fictional 70s TV show, hosted by actor Nick Offerman.

System of a Down have announced a European "Wake Up the Souls" Tour in 2015, including their first ever performance in Armenia (a free show in Republic Square), to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, committed in 1915 by the Ottoman Empire.

The group, who all have Armenian parents (Shavo Odadjian himself was born in the capital Yerevan), have retained strong ties to the country of their ancestors and have long campaigned to raise awareness of the massacre, which is still overlooked in Turkey to this day.
