Vicious Rumors post new video 2 replies

Californian US power metal powerhouse Vicious Rumors, have aired a new video at the official YouTube channel of SPV Records.

Video features a new song, titled "Take It or Leave It", part of the band's upcoming, 12th album Concussion Protocol, due out on August 26.

Kashee Opeiah stream demos 2 replies

German metalcore band Kashee Opeiah are streaming two demos from their upcoming album The Barrier // The Carrier via bandcamp. While the release date has yet to be announced, the new album will mark the first release from the band since their 2006 debut Panic In Solitude.

Daniel Lioneye returns with 3rd album 2 replies

After an 8-year gap, Linde Lindström, the guitar player of the Finnish love metal act, HIM will release a 3rd album as Daniel Lioneye. Vol. III will be out on August 19 via The End Records and features a blend of rock, psych metal and black metal.

ADBOK new album and song 3 replies

Deathcore band, A Different Breed of Killer have a released a new song entitled "The Devouring Storm" off their upcoming album The City, which is due for November 2016.
The City was originally in the works back in 2009 and then 2012, but they left Rise to try to secure another record label, and corrupt data lead to it never being released. They are asking for funding on indiegogo to mix the album in 5.1, have it mastered, and then marketed.

Deathcore juggernauts Oceans Ate Alaska have released a new song entitled "432 Blaze It", a collaborative effort with Metalcore musician and Youtube commentator Jarrod Alonge. This is their first release since their unexpectedly successful debut album Lost Isles.

Alternative prog band The Pineapple Thief have released the second single, entitled In Exile, from their upcoming album "Your Wilderness". The song is set to be the opening track of the record and, according to frontman Bruce Soord, "sets the tone perfectly".

"Your Wilderness" will be released through Kscope records on August 12 and feature the band as a trio along with several guest musicians. Notably, Porcupine Tree's Gavin Harrison plays drums throughout the album, as does Supertramp's John Helliwell on clarinet.
"This has not only redefined our sound but also redefined how we approached the songs as a band, says Soord. [...] I’ve also rediscovered my progressive roots in terms of song-writing and arrangement."

Oasis reissue Be Here Now 31 replies

Oasis will be reissuing Be Here Now, the album hailed by its creator as "the sound of ... a bunch of guys, on coke, in the studio, not giving a fuck", on October 7th.

Oasis's third album will be reissued on vinyl and as a 3CD deluxe edition, similar to the reissues of the last two records. The first disc will be the main album, the second disc will consist of B-sides and rarities, and the third disc will feature the Mustique demos, long sought-after by fans.

Australian experimental musician Lost Salt Blood Purges released 'Only the Youngest Grave' digitally earlier this year via Art As Catharsis. Now, the album is available on CD for the first time via Russian black metal and experimental noise label COD Distribution. The double CD comes with a previously unheard bonus track and will also be released as a collector's edition that comes with LSBP's previous album 'The Voids We All Long For.'

As reported yesterday American rock band My Chemical Romance put up a teaser video alluding to an announced this September.

The band have since posted this message to their Facebook page just a few moments ago:

"We've been really touched and blown away by the response to the teaser trailer. We are not touring and there is no reunion planned - only a release for the anniversary of The Black Parade.

Thanks so much for continuing to keep MCR in your minds and in your hearts."

So it looks like "The Black Parade" will be getting a re-issue this coming fall as part of its tenth anniversary. The album was a platinum-seller and saw the highest chart performance of the group's career.

Every Time I Die have released a second song from their upcoming eighth studio album, Low Teens. The song, entitled "Glitches," is another sub-3 minute banger that wears its hardcore punk influences on its sleeve, underwear, and denim vest.

Panopticon Streams Remasters 9 replies

American black metal band Panopticon has begun streaming the remastered versions of two of its previous records, Social Disservices and On the Subject of Mortality through Bandcamp.

The two albums were both remixed by Spenser Morris and re-mastered by Colin Marston for this special two-disc "Revisions of the Past" release. Panopticon's Austin Lunn was initially unsatisfied with the low-quality sounds of either record, and sought out Morris and Marston to re-build both records to fall more in line with the sound and quality of his more recent releases.

Currently-defunct American rock band My Chemical Romance posted a video on their YouTube and Facebook pages while changing profile images for all accounts. Here's the clip:

The video seems to tease some sort of announcement being made on September 23, just a month before the tenth anniversary of the release of the band's third album, "The Black Parade" which went on to be a platinum-selling LP.

Arrigo Barnabe's New Project 0 replies

63 years old Arrigo Barnabé, in a nod to his groundbreaking 1980's release "Clara Crocodilo" presents a new band formation with the all-female quintet Quartabê - Ana Karina Sebastião on bass, Joana Queiroz on sax and clarinet, Maria Beraldo Bastos on clarinet and Mariá Portugal on percussion.

On a interview with "O Globo", he said that "the girls injected more rhythm to the record, and I liked it very much (...) “Clara” has become poppier, if that's possible"

In the excerpt of the performance below, the band shows much enthusiasm and some catchy grooves pretty much alien to Arrigo's work, one of the most proeminent faces in brazilian avant-garde/outsider scene.

Wilco announce new album 10 replies

Wilco have announced the release of Schmilco, their 10th studio album. Due out on September 9, the LP features artwork from Joan Cornella's infamous collection, ZONZO.
