Moby announces festival/new song 2 replies

Moby announced the first edition of Circle V, a 100% vegan festival that will take place at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles on October 23. Blaqk Audio and Cold Cave, among others, will join him on stage and all proceeds will go to Mercy For Animals.

In the spirit of the festival, Moby has also released a new song with his Void Pacific Choir, called 'Don't Leave Me'. Besides this, a new album will be out sometimes this fall. It is unclear if the performance at the festival will act as a release gig. However, the man again ruled out touring behind his upcoming LP.

Placebo have released a new song entitled "Jesus' Son", off their upcoming EP Life's What You Make It- released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the band's debut album.



The song will also be included on the upcoming retrospective release A Place For Us To Dream.

Placebo begin their 20th anniversary tour in December.

UK Based Power Metal band Power Quest have released a new track titled Face the Raven which is off of their upcoming E.P which has yet to be named. This is Power Quest's first new Music in 5 years since 2011's Blood Alliance. The band Broke up 3 years ago but announced they were getting back together earlier this year.

Architects' Tom Searle dies 66 replies

The brother and band-mate of Architects' co-founding member Tom Searle has given the tragic and shock news that the guitarist has passed away after a 3 year battle with cancer. The band pledges to continue at least in touring their latest album but the possibility of new music in the future is uncertain with Tom having been their principal songwriter.

The band have set up a donation page for The Martlets Hospice in Hove in thanks for the treatment Tom received there. Tom died in the early hours of the 20th August and was 28 years old. Dan Searle has appealed for respect for the band's privacy in their time of mourning.

Amy Lee to release kid's album 30 replies

Evanescence vocalist and solo artist Amy Lee has announced that she will release a children's album on Sept 30th on Amazon Music. The album will be called Dream Too Much, and it will feature 9 new songs as well as three covers from The Beatles, Sesame Street and the 1956 song "Goodnight My Love."

The album started as a small project for Lee's son Jack, and it will feature Lee's father and her husband Josh Hartzler, as well as Amy's sisters and other musicians from her extended family. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she said:

"Dad has always been talking about making some kid songs for Jack to have later in life." [My husband suggested,] 'You guys should just do it, get in the studio together, you've never been in the studio together, you're both musicians.'"

Former 3 Doors Down Guitarist Matt Roberts has died of an apparent overdose likely due to prescription medication according to his father. He originally exited the band in 2012 saying "3 Doors Down always have a special place in my heart and it saddens me to take this time off, but my health has to be my first priority."
He was 38.

Epic Records CEO L.A. Reid has confirmed that a new album from A Tribe Called Quest is on the way, their first since 1998.

On the Rap Radar podcast, Reid also mentioned that the album was recorded before Phife Dawg's passing, and includes the whole group. Jarobi White has also returned to the group after having been absent since their debut, People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm.

All songs are accompanied by the Norwegian Girls Choir with ex-Ulver guitarist Håvard supplying additional guitar as well.
