Glitch wizard Alex Gray has descended from his realm of bleeps and fax machine noises to announce a new album through Leaving Records, set for an October 9th release.
The album, entitled MN.ROY, will have a physical release as a CD in a DVD style casing, or can be pre-ordered digitally through DJ Purple Image's Bandcamp. This album will be Gray's fourth project from 2014, and judging by how the singles sound and the tracklist, will continue down the path of stuttering sonic qualities found on his other releases.
St. Louis rock outfit Story Of The Year have released a news update via their official facebook, talking about future plans. It showcases the band's rough times while trying to combine their private endeavors with their musical aspirations and the band as a project.

Chicago indie veteran Mike Kinsella is streaming the first song from the upcoming covers album for his solo acoustic project Owen. Entitled Other People's Songs, it will be released on December 2 via Polyvinyl Records and is available for pre-order now on vinyl, CD, tape and digital formats. Our first look at the album is a cover of "Under the Blanket" by Illinois underground pop punk legends Smoking Popes; a fair indication of what's to come on Other People's Songs as the album boasts covers from punk bands like Against Me!, Lungfish, All and The Promise Ring (the frontman of which was Kinsella's former bandmate). The tracklist further extends to bands like Depeche Mode, Blake Babies and Mojave 3.
The album was first announced on Kinsella's often nonsensical Twitter page, though it now appears that Kinsella was entirely serious about being "super excited to de-amplify / snooze-up some of my all-time favs" as his post claimed. Kinsella told Canadian p ...more
Davenport Cabinet, the alt-rock group headed by Coheed and Cambria lead guitarist Travis Stever, have released their latest full-length record, Damned Renegades.
The follow up to the 2013 LP Our Machine and the 2014 EP Risks in Magic continues the same classic-rock influenced flavor that the band is known for, but sees the band continue their growth into a full-fledged group in their own right.
Damned Renegades contains the previously released track 'Everyone Surrounding' along with 9 other new tracks (excluding interludes and one bonus track).

The new single "Genau" should have been released a week ago now, as it was announced for the 23rd of september. Surprisingly enough, Sasha Konietzko has instead made available "salvation" the fifth song of the upcoming 19th album due to the 14th of October.
Above the link to the Soundcloud page, Sasha wrote: "I posted something that might be of interest to some of you", perhaps an allusion to the criticisms from the fans the band had to deal with on its Facebook page about their previous album "Kunst."
The third full-length LP from the Rural Alberta Advantage, entitled Mended with Gold, is available to stream via the link below:
The album officially released earlier today, and can be purchased from their website:
