American rock band Brand New have released an "apology letter" detailing the delay of their (final?) studio album, and confirm they will be breaking up. The band have said they have a collection of songs that could be their final album, but as it stands, they are not yet content enough to release it as it is.
They confirm there will be no new album this year (2016), and that their next album is likely to be their last.
You can read the official letter from the band here:
First, an apology. At some point previous, we, Brand New, admitted our plans to release a record this year. These plans were authentic, but we are changing them. While there exists a collection of songs that, right now, some would call fit to be an album, to us it is not comple ...more
Frank Iero And The Patience have released the second single off their upcoming album 'Parachutes.' The single is called 'Remedy' and is now streaming on Spotify and YouTube. 'Parachutes' is set to come out on October 28.
Hardcore group G.L.O.S.S. has decided to call it quits, citing their "mental and physical health" as a primary reason.
A quote from their statement on Maximum Rocknroll:
"We want to measure success in terms of how we’ve been able to move people and be moved by people, how we’ve been able to grow as individuals. This band has become too large and unwieldy to feel sustainable or good anymore—the only thing growing at this point is the cult of personality surrounding us, which feels unhealthy. There is constant stress, and traveling all the time is damaging our home lives, keeping us from personal growth and active involvement in our communities. Being in the mainstream media, where total strangers have a say in something we’ve created for other queer people, is exhausting."

Metalcore band Attila have released a new song titled "Ignite." This song is from their upcoming seventh album "Chaos" which is slated for release on November 4th. This is also the first Attila song since their first album to feature clean vocals.
Post-Hardcore band Memphis May Fire have released a music video for the title track off of their upcoming album "This Light I Hold" which features Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. The track also features Jacoby himself doing harsh vocals for the first time in over a decade. The music video also features cameo appearances from multiple vocalists including Danny Worsnop, Levi Benton, and several others. Their new album is slated for release on October 28th.
Rock/pop-punk band My Chemical Romance celebrated 10th anniversary of The Black Parade by re-releasing the album and releasing compilation Living With Ghosts, which contains demos of songs from The Black Parade and unreleased songs, such as Five of Us Are Dying, which was released earlier this year.

Indo-American Progressive Metal band Skyharbor have just released a new single and video for the song "Chemical Hands" off their upcoming third full-length album. The video was shot by Michael Di Lonardo and the song is the third single to feature vocalist Eric Emery who replaced Dan Tompkins in the band.
Songwriter Derek Miller (former Poison the Well) and singer Alexis Krauss of Sleigh Bells are apparently going through what many musicians fear. They believe solo artist Demi Lovato, singer of hits such as "Confident" and "Stone Cold", has stolen their song "Infinity Guitars" and used parts of it to create "Stars". Sleigh Bells believe so strongly their song was stolen the band has now filed a lawsuit.
An excerpt from the court documents as follows:
“Demi Lovato, and the label and team she worked with to create ‘Stars,’ did not obtain authorization from Sleigh Bells to use any part or portion of ‘Infinity Guitars,” "Indeed, they failed to even notify Sleigh Bells that they intended to exploit Sleigh Bells material to create a Demi Lovato song."
If you listen to both songs you can see the similarities, but it will ultimately be up to the courts to decide the final judgement.
Currently incarcerated As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis is suing two Southern California detention facilities for $35 million over gross negligence and denying him prescriptions.
Lambesis was denied anastrozole, a drug offsetting the side effects of anabolic steroid withdrawal. Lambesis was taking steroids regularly prior to his 2014 incarceration.
Lambesis claims that he suffers “exponential terror” because of the potential development of breasts. He also claims that he suffers from gynecomastia – a build-up of fat tissue in the pectorals, which is a common side effect of a hormonal imbalance after steroid use.
Rock band Alter Bridge have released the third single, 'Poison in Your Veins,' from their upcoming 5th LP. The new album, The Last Hero, is set to be released on October 7th.

Riverside have released a statement concerning the future of the band:
We'd like to thank you again for your friendship and support throughout this most tragic time for us and we'd like to officially announce that we have made a decision about our future.
We have decided that we are not going to do a casting for a new guitarist. Thus we have ceased to be a quartet and have become a trio. In this line-up we will prepare our new studio album. Both in the recording studio and on tour - if we get back to touring - we will be playing with session guitarists, who are our friends, whom we know and like. But the line-up of Riverside will be as shown in the picture.
Yes, we do realise that this is not going to be the same band. We know that for many of you the story of Riverside ends here, this year, and that "Eye of the Soundscape" might be the last Riverside album you'll buy. We know that some of you c ...more
In a brief post at their official Facebook page, Swedes attributed the break-up to insurmountable internal differences and personal struggles, which in effect, drained their will to carry the wagon further. As a result, all scheduled touring dates have been cancelled.
Be that as it may, Graveyard's statement (see below) does not completely rule out the possibility of a future reunion.
"Dark clouds above the graveyard today.
Due to the all so classic reason "differences within the band" the Graveyard is as of today officially closed. This is the unfortunate final decision we've had to make after going through a period of struggling n juggling with personal issues. Things have gone out of hand and now our energy is very low. As a direct result of this we're sorry to say that all scheduled touring is cancelled.
Green Day has recently released the 3rd single off their upcoming LP, "Revolution Radio," which is scheduled to come out on October 7, 2016. The single is called "Still Breathing," and the official lyric video has been posted on YouTube.

They have recently released their first song titled "Bizarre Love Triangle", which is a cover of the original by the band "New Order". She formed the band and recorded the cover to bring awareness to her amfAR, which is an AIDS charity foundation, and it will be featured on a compilation album with many other bands trying to bring awareness to the same charity, and cause.

Haji's Kitchen have recently informed fans that former vocalist Vincent Mullins, who performed on sophomore effort Sucker Punch and was last heard fronting Half-Life, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Melanoma in his brain and lungs. The diagnosis came in July and he has been receiving treatment since, although mounting medical bills have made the fight even tougher for him. The band has shared a GoFundMe page to assist the singer in gathering funds to fight this advanced form of cancer.
