Monday, November 23rd Indie rockers Manchester Orchestra have released a video for the song "Shake It Out" off of their 2009 album Mean Everything to Nothing. The music video can be found here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GpuYMJAc8gE Seven Sigur Ros tracks and one Jonsi and Alex track have been used in the British film "The Boys Are Back," comprising the entire score for the movie. Director Scott Hicks has said:
“initially, i used their songs as a temporary score, but it was working so perfectly that i decided to approach the band directly to see if we could licence the music. i was forewarned that they were extremely picky about what they would allow their music to be used for, but i went to iceland to screen for them and they simply loved the film.”

Thursday, November 19th A new Animal Collective song, entitled 'Graze,' is now available to stream via Stereogum.
http://stereogum.com/archives/new_animal_collective__graze_101861.html Interpol are now recording a follow up to 2007's Our Love to Admire at New York City's Electric Lady Studios. Drummer Sam Fogarino has said that the new album will recall their stunning debut Turn on The Bright Lights, stating:
The new record falls back towards the first. In trying to move forward, there was an unspoken realization that you can't let go of your sonic-defining tag. There was an effort in Daniel [Kessler]'s guitar tone; he rediscovered it playing in his loft space for a year without anybody. The quality of that tone, played in a big room, is just beautiful. It creates an atmosphere ... That big wash of reverb? It's back.
The album is said to be released in early Spring 2010 via Capitol records. The Decemberists' rock opera The Hazards of Love is to be made into a film, entitled Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized.
Filmmakers Guilherme Marcondes, Julia Pott, Peter Sluszka and Santa Maria have contributed animations to accompany the texture of the album. A preview of the film, which will be made available on iTunes on December 1, can be seen via Youtube.

During an interview with BBC Radio, Mohawke claimed "It hasn’t been finalised yet, but I’m doing a bit of stuff for Kele from Bloc Party’s solo album. He’s doing a record with one of the guys from Spank Rock.”
