April 2015 - Weeks 1 and 2
Smegma Plays Merzbow Plays Smegma

3.0 ~ drone ~ split between two noise pioneers using each other's materials as the base of their compositions, but could've been better, especially Merzbow's half
Deux Cents Nuits A L'Heure

4.0 ~ prog folk ~ one-off collab album between Serge Fiori of Harmonium and Richard Seguin of Les-Seguin ~ considered the swan song of the Quebecois art rock scene
Xenoglossalgia: The Last Stage of Awareness

4.0 ~ psychedelic sludge metal ~ demo recorded in '98 and reissued twice in 2004 and 2015 ~ pretty hard hitting sludgy metal with a killer sound collage for most of "So Fucking Tired"

4.0 ~ drone ~ one of Masami Akita's later albums, this particular album is one that heavily features live percussion to compliment the sounds that Akita makes. Probably one of his best yet, and not even that long too
Grand Owl Habitat

3.5 ~ drone ~ not as good as the one above, a bit repetitive even for the genre

4.0 ~ drone ~ heavy use of prog rock/psych samples, dope sounds all throughout
7Black Moth Super Rainbow
Cobra Juicy

3.5 ~ psychedelic trip hop whatever the hell it can be classified as ~ pretty great album, beats, filters and all that jazz but was lacking in some spots
Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space

4.0 ~ dream pop ~ still need to listen to this one more I know that rating's gonna be bumped up sooner or later cause this is one hell of an album I've been sitting on for a while ~ Cop Shoot Cop best track
9The Flaming Lips
In A Priest Driven Ambulance

4.0 ~ experimental psych pop ~ been sitting on this one too, good guitar-drive Flips but a bit too lengthy, dig the riffs on this and CTM
10Ben Frost

3.0 ~ electronic ~ disappointing as hell
Scar Sighted

3.0 ~ black metal ~ (see above) (lame as fuck)
12Sulphur Aeon
Gateway to the Antisphere

4.0 ~ death metal ~ riffs riffs and more riffs this one is great
13Lupe Fiasco
Tetsuo & Youth

4.0 ~ hip hop ~ yeah this is cool, dope flow and smooth beats with the guest spots not being a waste at all
14King Geedorah
Take Me to Your Leader

4.5 ~ hip hop ~ so many Toho samples it's not even funny, beats and samples are more prominent here than the vox itself but when the vox come in it's great
